re: TJ opens up the RPO portion of the offense - redfishfan
TJ played really well but he’s not really a running threat. He’s slow actually. Anybody that saw him play in high school or play HS basketball knows this. Kid is a pocket passer and a damn good one. ...

re: What other schools run a 4-3? - redfishfan
Far from the only difference. 3-4 is built around big 2 gap players that eat space. 4-3 all 7 are responsible for a gap. Totally different style of players up front. That’s just a start
Not true at all. 3 man front had nothing to do with 2 gapping. You can 2 gap in any front. LSU...

re: What other schools run a 4-3? - redfishfan
The only difference between a 4-3 and a 3-4 is a stand up backer and an end with his hand on the group. Aranda’s defense was really a 3-3-5 and that’s really the same as a 4-2-5. The main difference in Aranda and Bo’s schemes is Aranda likes to keep his Dline from getting too far in backfiel...

re: SLICE!!!!! - redfishfan
If he does that, the first move in transition will be to get steep
How so? I used to get way too steep until I got my right wrist cocked. Then I started hitting a draw with more consistency and control. The other way it almost had to be a pull draw. ...

re: SLICE!!!!! - redfishfan
Try getting the shaft more shallow. At the top of your backswing you should feel like your right thumb is pointing behind you. It’s almost impossible to swing with a draw bias without doing that. ...

re: The CDC has quietly updated survival rates if infected with covid - redfishfan
These are the numbers for flu 2018-19: 0-4 99.992% 5-17 99.997% 18-49 99.979% 50-64 99.939% 65+ 99.168% So yeah, not remotely close, covid is about 5X worse than the flu across the board.
Well the Flu has a vaccine that protects our most vulnerable. The CDC said the Flu vac...

re: When to hit fades and draws into greens? - redfishfan
Try to hit your stock shape as much as possible but it also depends on distance, wind, where the danger is. For example if you are inside 100 yards you won’t need much shape to begin with. Wedges fly pretty straight. If I’m 150 out and short is bad but long is okay. I’ll pull an 8 and play a cut. ...

Been really busy Boom. Haven’t spent much time on TD. Glad playoff basketball is here. IMO this is the only legit shot CC has had to win it since Dream. Rooting for Hardwn. ...

re: Let’s check in on alleged “top 15-20 player” Draymond Green’s 2020 season - redfishfan
Yep. How good would klay be if he had to create his own shot and didn’t have the space created by Steph gravity and greens playmaking? Klay would not be anyhting special. Easily more replaceable than green.
This is comical. Green was only effective as a playmaker Bc of Steph and K...

re: Broke 80 today - redfishfan
Now all you're gonna want to do is break par. That's where I'm currently at
Then when you break par you want to shoot in 60s. It never stops. You always want more. I’ve shot 70 3 times in my life. 69 just wont happen. I find a way to screw it up every chance I get. ...

re: What's the best and worst parts of your game? - redfishfan
f you get your greens percentage up between 61 and 67% (eg, 11-12 GIR per round), PPR down to 31, and your scramble percentage to 60%, your 6.2 goes to a 2.x pretty damn quickly.
Really? I think all those numbers are attainable. I lose all my strokes around the green. About once ...

Strength- Driver and irons Weakness- long chips and pitches. Lag putting. Started tracking my game more (6 rounds so far) and keeping stats. Currently at a 6.2 handicap. I hit 68% of fairways and 55% of greens. But average 34 putts and scramble percentage is 51%. Need to dedicate more ti...

re: Early morning weekday old men pace of play - redfishfan
They were all nice and cordial but they stayed right on our arse the entire round. You can't help but feel rushed in that scenario and it doesn't make for a great round of golf when you're pressured out of your normal routine.
Solution. Let them play through. It’s so simple. ...

re: Early morning weekday old men pace of play - redfishfan
Hate people who play fast.
These people should have zero impact on you. They can’t make you speed up if in your group and if they are behind you just let them play through and you are done with them. Golf course etiquette isn’t hard. Play at whatever pace you want but let faster gr...

re: What is your goal as a scratch golfer? - redfishfan
I’m guessing tee shots going out of bounds is an issue. Start there
I’d bet that as well. Everybody likes to tell high handicappers to work on their short game which they should but most high handicappers are horrible off the tee. If you can hit fairways and be near the green on th...

re: Y’all play one ball exclusively - redfishfan
I was looking at the jpx 919 forged loft vs my AP1. The AP1’s are about 2 degrees stronger for each club. Any idea what kind of yardage that would translate to? 5 yards shorter with the jpx?
I’d say 5-7 yards. ...
