Just lad we have Torina heading our program: I always thought we were excelling under Moore and Torina's leadership. I respect the Softball-Knowledgeable on this site so I rest my case about Girouard.

LSU Softball is thriving and we are being the "Best we can be under this HC."

We were doing just fine with Glenn as our coach, but he left to double his salary to $80K per year at Baylor. At the time, I was making 30% more per year coaching high school softball. Let that sink in on how cheap we used to be.

Yvette’s loyalty was to USL. Still is. Took LSU job to increase her retirement income.

Emari Frazier-#66
Morgan Smith-#62
Danieca Coffey- #56
Alison Newland- #20
Kennedi Houshmandzadeh- #16

Presleigh Pilon- #9

You must not know her very well to make a comment like that.

I think it was 10-3 yesterday

Won 13-1 tonight with 5 or 6 home runs. Freshmen continue to make plays this fall. We rotated a lot of players again.

Wow! Don't care if competition wasn't SEC caliber, but impressive sounding anyway.

Thanks.

Only person I can think of that didn't play was Tidwell and she was in a walking boot, not sure why exactly

re: LSU Softball Commitment List/Recruiting Info
Good day, just like all other games rotating alot of people. This outfield is stacked. Could put any combination of 6 girls or so out there and be fine.

Hitting the ball better today. Shelbi pitched well. MBG pitched ok. But left one over the heart and it went bye bye. Shelby W now pitching.

Again working different combos in infield. I think corners might be sey but middle TBD, although corners have plenty good options

re: LSU Softball Commitment List/Recruiting Info
How are Abrams and Pleasants looking today?

Yea the infield will be trial by error. Nice to use fall ball to get a much better idea of what works well. and what doesn't work. We will be extremely young and inexperienced in the infield.

The depth in the OF is great although I do suspect it will end up being Stewart, Andrews, and Briggs. That will be a lot of speed with Briggs and Stewart giving us some gap power. Catcher is another area I have been trying to watch closely this fall. Towards the end of last year Torina put Cummins in more and more over Schlattman. She seemed to prefer her defensively.

Abrams played well again, hits the ball very well hasn't pitched today. Pleasants came in late, but is 1 for 2 with a walk. The 1 was a line dbl to RC. I think you're right about outfield. Infield may come down to who hits most consistently

Catcher Cummings is hitting better this year, She really didn't get alot of opportunity last year, but both are playing well and have good defense

I am very intrigued with Abrams, especially with her bat. She was a late addition to our recruiting class after really developing over the last two years. I got to watch her in person this past summer when she played the Junior national team at Scrapyard. She was inches away from homering off of Montana Fouts and doubled off another one of the JWNT's pitchers. I think she could be a serious contributor for us offensively.

I think Pleasants will do well for us offensively just hope she continues to Improve on defense.

Like you said, if we are going to be "average" defensively, might as well just put the best bats on the field.

Good to hear. Heard great things about her this summer, she worked really hard to change and improve on a few things. I don't know much with Calland's hitting but I always heard wonderful things about her defense from her coach with the Texas Bombers.

Hoping the pitchers can take a big step this year.
