The problem is people find something like that and don't keep their mouths shut. Sell that stuff a little at a time in many different places.

I'm not a huge country music fan but I loved "Remember When". Great song. He's a really good vocalist.

The first major hurricane to strike New Orleans since 1915 made landfall southeast of New Orleans in September 1947. The unnamed storm is often called the Fort Lauderdale hurricane because that is where it first hit on September 18th.
The majority of New Orleans was flooded with two to three feet of water, including the airport shown here. The storm surge of approximately fifteen feet over topped the Orleans Parish seawall constructed in the 1920s. Jefferson Parish took on up to six feet of water. The storm killed 51 people and caused $110 million in damages ($1.3 billion today).

I lived in a small town in Avoyelles Parish and I certainly remember the bicentennial being a big event. The weeks leading up to it. Everything was red white and blue and flags and decorations everywhere you looked. I'm just in disbelief that it was 50 years ago! I was 10. Where does time go?? :usa:

Randy Rhoads co-founded Quiet Riot in 1973 alongside bassist Kelly Garni. He was the band's original lead guitarist, playing on their first two albums, Quiet Riot (1977) and Quiet Riot II (1978), which were originally released only in Japan. He left the band in 1979 to join Ozzy Osbourne.

re: How do you choose your guitar picks?
Posted by Shanegolang on 6/24/26 at 8:56 am to deeprig9
Yellow Dunlop Tortex 73mm is my favorite. I prefer a thicker/harder pick. When I play acoustic I usually finger pic or use a lighter pick if I'm strumming. I don't play with the point of a pick, I use the rounded corner.

re: how about a shout out to the Lafayette weathermen

I think some people don't realize that a "chance" (percentage) of rain is forecast for an area that they are only a portion of. A complete "viewing" area is all included. I'm certain MOST people know this but I have witnessed many that were clueless.
