This week (4/1) in 1954, the contract was approved for construction of the first section of the Baton Rouge Expressway, a six-lane highway which extended from the end of Plank Road in the East to Ninth Street on the west and then south to Florida Street. The highway was completed three years later and would eventually become the non-elevated section of Interstate I-110 between North Street and Plank Road. I-110 would be extended northward in stages until its completion at the junction of US 61 in 1984. In 1999, the highway would be designated as the Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway.

I've purchased guitars and amps from Sweetwater Gear Exchange a couple times. Everything went smooth and I was a satisfied customer. So it stands the reason in my opinion that they're a good platform for selling instruments.

Know how many times he sang "I know" in a row? 26. Interesting to note that Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young played guitar on the original studio recording. I really am curious who this guitarists was. I have searched far and wide and cant find an answer. I love to play it this way. Especially on acoustic. Far less boring musically. That ending chord is simply beautiful.

On this 1972 performance of Ain't No Sunshine performed on "Old Grey Whistle Test", who played electric guitar? Obviously Bill Withers is playing acoustic but whose on lead? Obviously a jazz influenced player, playing Am7 and other alternative chords to the simple Am, Em and Dm chord progression played on the original studio version.
I found this on a search, " In his 1972 Old Grey Whistle Test performance of "Ain't No Sunshine," Bill Withers played acoustic guitar himself. He was accompanied by his touring band, which included a drummer, a bass player, and another guitarist, though the specific identity of that second guitarist in the 1972 studio session is not explicitly highlighted in the video footage."

American Strat or MIJ?

I have a '96 American Strat and a '94 MIJ (Fujigen) Strat. One will stay, one will go. The American has a maple fret board and Lace Sensor pups. The MIJ has a Rosewood fret board. I love the feel of the MIJ but prefer the sound of the American. I think the sound choice is mostly due to the pick ups. The feel could be due to the strings on the MIJ. Not sure whats on it, it's on loan from a friend who will sell it to me. Based on this limited information, what would you do? Any advice? Will the Lace Sensors "fit" on a MIJ? I've been told some parts aren't interchangeable on the two guitars. TIA.
