The First LSU Night Football Game in Tiger Stadium
95 years ago today, October 3, 1931.
This photo was taken during the first night game in Tiger Stadium on Oct. 3, 1931. LSU crushed Spring Hill 35-0.

ETA- Historical Significance
• First Night Game: Athletic director Thomas "Skipper" Heard purchased $7,500 worth of lights to debut night football, allowing local laborers and refinery workers to attend after work.
• The Score: LSU defeated Spring Hill College 35-0 in front of the new illumination.
• Lasting Legacy: The success of this game launched the iconic tradition of LSU playing home games under the lights

I can (only) imagine. Good for you! My biggest dream is to own a Gibson SJ- 200. Not very likely but one can dream. That said, you've inspired me....maybe I'll avoid divorce and pull off making a L-00 Special happen. I am going to try!! Keep rocking! :bow:

Wow! I'm envious here! Beautiful. Congrats. I have a Taylor and a Martin. A Ventura and a Takamine. Gibson is my dream to complete my line up of acoustics.

I still have the same two female Ruby Throats fighting over one feeder. I refilled it yesterday. There are more that come through when migrating back south because the offspring that hatched over the summer are with the group that went north in the spring.

Nothing quite like that old rhythm and blues. The horn sections always amazed me. Dad started me on guitar at about 10 years old, mid 70s. by the early 80s I would go in music stores and start picking some Bobby Bland (Two Steps from the Blues) and other such songs and the old dudes would ask me where a 15 year old kid was learning that stuff. All my pals were trying Van Halen and Ozzy stuff. Good times.

GG Shin? Anyway, I wonder if you're dad knew my dad. My dad, a guitarist, played with the Boogie Kings and Swing Kings in the 60s. He also did some gigs with Tommy Mclain back then and played nightly at the Candlelight in Port Allen in the late 60s and early 70s. Dad is in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame for his work with the Swing Kings and Boogie Kings.
