I don't think I've maxed them out while fresh and I'm not really fluid in my transitions into another one

I think I've done 5 "unbroken" though

now if I could only master double unders, no idea why they give me so much trouble

Did my first Full Ironman back in May, which was a 3 year goal. New goal is to run an Ultra Marathon (100miler), which will probably take a couple years to get there.

Double unders with a jump rope? You’ll get that. And once you do, you won’t lose em lol. I can go forever without jumping rope and still do them.

Yep. Can't get past 10 or so for the life of me. I think I gradually bring my arms up too high.

Lost 50 pounds. BP went from 140/117 to 114/72. Cholesterol went from 250 to 188

Started in January at 230, and I'm down to 180. 6'2

Everyone, these are some awesome fricking accomplishments.

This is just bonkers. My wife runs marathons and I can’t even fathom anyone being this fast.

Thanks man, sub 2:40 is the goal in spring. I’ve been very blessed to have stayed healthy and had a good training block.

Burt is the best of us on the running thread.

He’s obviously an amateur athlete, but I’d be curious what he would do if he could devote full time to it.

He’s a humble SOB as well.

I started tracking about 10 different sports or exercise routines a few years ago. When I viewed the totals at end of 2018, I made a few goals to increase some and decrease others. I'm not sure how it will end up.

I think my major goal is to stay healthy enough to continue playing sports at a level similar to when I was 20 years old (i.e. 20 years ago). I probably had more nagging injuries than ever in 2019 but currently feel as good as ever. Just takes longer to warm up and have to make sure not to rush it.

This August I started running for the first time in my life. Ran my first 10k in November and aimed for 7:30/mi pace—I finished in 44:03 (7:05/mi pace).

Don’t know why it took me 29 years to realize how much I enjoy running, but here I am

Get off my arse. Frozen shoulder killed me this past year.

Doing some basic stuff to get moving again. Push-ups ans squats ans body weight hoot and some walks. I can get a damn good workout and good results if I stick to it.

Dropped 20 pounds early in the year and have been able to keep it off.

I’ve run personal best times @ 5K & 10K distance and I’ll be running my first half marathon in about 10 days.

I'm down 65 pounds. I'm going to try to hold steady as best as I can through this cruise I'm leaving tomorrow on and the holidays and then burn the last 25 I need to lose over q1 next year.

Next year will be about making this a lifestyle instead of a diet and starting to build some strength. I'm ashamed with how weak I am.

Finally arrived at a point where I can out eat my metabolism. I was able to go from 170 to 185. 12-15% BF consistently.

Achieved 1rm for bench, incline bench, dead lift.

Also had wrist surgery mid year. Biggest fear was the recovery period. Turned out to be more mental than physical.

Plan is to cut and see how low I can get that BF% starting next year.

Got remarried early in the year, had an extended honeymoon, moved houses, etc and just noticed I wasn't putting my workouts to use. Was eating terribly and was just regressing overall.

Had a body analysis done on July 28, weighed 285. Reevaluated my training, less worrying about weight and more focus on intensity and moving. Started dialing in my eating, watching macros.

Weighed 235 the day before Thanksgiving. Lost 50lbs while increasing muscle mass by 2lb. Cut my body fat % almost in half.

I now weigh about 160lbs less than I did in 2010.

Next goal is to lose a few more lbs while working on strength.

How’d your 2019 go?

Joined the 750 pound club but lost most of my running endurance.

I guess I’d rate it a B. I think having basic strength is really important for longevity and body composition. However, I miss the joys of running long distances and the exhaustion that comes with it.

I also have to really watch my calories now. I’ve debated refocusing on running and just maintaining strength for 2020.
