re: Stanford hires Tavita Pritchard
Posted by marchballer on 11/29/25 at 12:40 am to tigerfan84
TBH we got our guy. Not the flashy hire or big name but when you look at this resume as QB coach the names are there.
Kevin Hogan - multiple years in the NFL
Davis Mills - Nice career backup who will get a starting job somewhere
Tanner McKee - Nice backup in Philly
In addition, KJ Costello was a fairly good QB in college and did well at Stanford and Miss St.
What was clear was that Stanford was caught behind the 8 ball when NIL and the transfer portal became a thing and now we're ready to step up to the plate.
Tavita is a Stanford guy so he knows what it takes to recruit here and what it takes to win here.
Hopefully this is as good of a hire as I hope it is.

When did conservatives start embracing cancel culture?

I’m a liberal and this comment is dumb.
People already either love or hate Trump. This verdict doesn’t change anything.
Biden is a weak candidate and Trump’s numbers look great right now. Even if he loses a few votes he is still in great position to win

I love the Idaho stadium. Looks like a fun place to watch a game.

Why is UNC so highly valued? I feel like they have and average to mediocre football every year.
Miami seems way more valuable as a brand.

Our AD Already came out that 14 sports will field competition with the ACC. The other sports will stay regional.

We’ll stay regional in some sports like water polo.

Ayyyy Guess I should start learning about the ACC!
re: Anybody brave enough to admit they voted for Biden?

I’m a proud Biden voter. Even if you thought the election was a fraud you’d know like 40+% of the population voted Biden. The margins between R’s and D’s aren’t huge.

It’s a match process so it’s more coincidence than anything.
re: Is there any male culture fatter than whiskey snob culture?
Posted by marchballer on 3/24/23 at 8:43 pm to YatInTheHat
Sports fans are fatter.
Whiskey Snobs are much more often part-time drinkers with other hobbies and activities. Sports fans will sit around drinking beer and watching sports all day. Easily fatter group.

Since when did conservatives get so whiny and obsessed with DEI. This used to be a liberal area but now anything related to diversity brings out the snowflakes in conservatives. Roles have reversed.

Ah yes. This is why fiscal conservatives are dead. Republicans reduce government revenue without actually offsetting it. At least Democrats pretend to offset increased spending by raising taxes.
re: Realistically, who’s our QB next year?
Posted by marchballer on 12/25/22 at 4:57 pm to keakar
Dalton will start next year but I wouldn’t be surprised if we grab a QB in the 4th or 5th rd as a backup. If you look at the top QBs in the league, it’s becoming a trend that there is value in the middle of the draft for a good QB if you get lucky. Using a #1 on a QB has not looked great recently.

Seems no different than a Catholic hospital refusing to do an abortion when there is a threat to the woman’s health.

Why our Dems so inclined to vote via mail compared to Republicans?

Maybe if Republicans actually listened to what real Americans want like legal abortion, legalizing weed, equity for all, they’d do better in a year with a weak economy.
