As a flatlander from Southern Louisiana, I’m fully expecting it to be brutal
Got a smart trainer? Plenty of routes on Zwift with thousands of feet of elevation gain. Could be good practice for you during the week? :dunno:...

re: Summer Hydration Tips and Tricks - Walter White
On medium to long runs, I carry a water bottle with a Nuun hydration tablet or 2 mixed in. On bike rides, I’ve been using Skratch Hydration Mix and am really enjoying it. I also typically drink Pedialyte or Body Armor (along with a ton of ice water) when I get home from these runs/rides. ETA: t...
Found a 2018 for a little less than $800 close by
Go for it!! Forgot to mention, there’s a great Facebook group called Tri N Sell It. I’ve bought several items from there. All kinds of used bikes, trainers, and whatever gear you’re looking for....

re: Smart trainers for cycling: anyone here use one? - Walter White
I’m actually not quite sure on all the technical differences between all of the versions. Mine is a Gen 3 Wahoo Kickr and it does everything I need it to. Paired it with Zwift for $15/month subscription. One thing I really enjoy is being able to see the power numbers, especially since I don’t have a...

re: Smart trainers for cycling: anyone here use one? - Walter White
Yep, I bought a used Wahoo Kickr on eBay a couple of months ago. Think I paid $800 for it. Been enjoying it & it was nice to get a discount. Great backup for when it rains or to just be able to ride early morning/at night and not have to worry about getting hit by a car....

re: Official Running Log/Marathon Training Thread - Walter White
There are a few posters I can think of who have/are. Jon A Thon has done several IIRC. Tornado Alley & I are each training for 70.3s this fall. Both a half and full are certainly doable with 15 months’ training. Disclaimer—I’m rather new to it and have not completed a half or full distance be...

Yes and I had a good experience. Their offer was very fair and actually higher than other dealerships offered me. As others have said, offer is good for 7 days. Was very easy, no hassle, no haggling BS. ...

re: AML leukemia - Walter White
My best friend & college roommate was diagnosed with AML & ALL when we were freshmen. It was scary for sure, but there is hope. He has now been cancer free over 10 years. As others have said, get to MD Anderson or St. Jude. Best of luck and prayers for them ...
