If you’re in the Nola area on Saturdays The Cajun Element sells boudin at the destrehan farmers market and on Sunday at the harahan farmers market.
No reason to drive to Scott. This dude’s boudin is as good or better.

Ill throw a couple that have not been mentioned out here.
My 2 personal favorites are:

I personally dont care for billys anymore. There was a time when it was the GOAT but ever since they went to a mass produced product, the Quality Control has tanked. There is so much grissle that I just cant eat it anymore.

Boudinlink Facebook is good reference place. They used to rank boudin places on boudinlink.com, but it appears defunct now.
I would map out about 7-8 places or stops, get a link at each place, eat about 1/2 of it, drink some water. Trust me-pace yourself if you want to sample

Kartchner's and...
Bourque's...just be careful driving through Port Barre especially down the side street to get to Bourque's
The local cops can smell foreigners and will ticket you for breathing but the boudin is worth it
Bourque's can tell that you're not local and they will ask if you want a setup to eat on the way back home, in my case that means all the way to Denham Springs.
Then they'll take scissors and cut the boudin into bite size pieces and wrap it up in a tray with a separate layer of a ton of napkins and plastic utensils and crackers. The way they wrap it up allows you to access the boudin and eat it all the way home without making a mess in the car.

Their hoghead cheese and pork skins are great.
I'm still a fan of their boudin. Just can't get it shipped. So I go with Billy's and Best Stop for shipping.

The best boudin in acadiana is at MEL'S in Eunice.

I do like me some Bourque's! Their jalapeno cheese bread used to be great but the last couple of times I've been it hasn't been so. A problem I have is I usually manage to pretty much leave with a new cooking utensil they sell. My wife hates when I go there! LOl..
I usually head to Kartchner's and Billy's in Krotz Springs from Bourque's.
I also like to stop in at Soprano's in Livonian too.

If you find yourself on 190 in da Barre/Opelousas area, stop at Bosco's and get the chicken cracklins. I don't know what he uses as a seasoning, but those are the best chicken cracklins I've ever had.
Oh, and, Nunus for the boudin. Get some pepper jelly/cream cheese burgers, too. Those are probably the best burgers I've ever had. Gotta go to Youngsville to get them, though.

Bergeron’s is my current favorite. They have nice chunks of smoked pork in theirs. Great flavor. I also really like Best Stop. Can get it most places.
