Thanks for this. Great info.
I'm seeing that we might still want:
-LT and G
-LB
-DB with experience.

How confident are we in the OL and DL. Teams will be running more I believe and the DL will need to be good at stopping the run.
Who did Miami get then or Tenn?
I can't believe he didn't pick one of those.

re: Transfer portal timing

I believe so. That has been the issue with opening the portal after the CFP's or after the bowls because they have to be enrolled and heading to class before the CFP's are done.
The schedule of this portal stuff is messed up. Then you have jackwagons like the RB at Oregon that opted out for the portal before the playoff game.
Man, this is looking good. Injuries have killed the season already.
Probably would've won the aTm and USC game with him. Heck they may have given Vandy a run with him. Throw in Reed and we would be in good shape this season.
This kids got 3 yrs left....this would be good pickup. Wolford knows this kid and his ability. I'd rather get some guys like Brooks and fill the cupboard, Instead of spend crazy money on the very top. These kids are getting NFL money for OL.
Just my uninformed opinion.
Tenn or Miami is what I'm seeing. Miami is trying to pull Ty Simpson from the draft as well.

We have essentially been bargain shopping on portal OL up to this point. I don't know why we would drop $2.5-3m now.

Maybe you answered your own question.
I could see 9-3. I think the OL has a lot to do with it and the LB/DL. I am concerned with Leavitt and his injury progression and the lack of snaps he will get to learn the new system. I hope he is really smart and maybe hits the VR room a lot to pick it up. He is the major concern.

re: OL - I hope we get this guy

It would have to be a small font or else you curve it down past the numbers on the side.

re: We owe Brian Kelly big time…

Yes we do owe him. A lot of dollars that is.

THIS^^^^^^^

Agreed. You can be a great edge rusher and get the sacks but if you can't stop the run in the SEC, they will eat on your side of the line. At that point you are not the aggressor the OL is and you have to be able to get off the block, seal the edge, or plug gap.

You got me. I had the keyboard ready to flame you.
Good one sir.

re: Moore (Center) staying at LSU

I can agree. Glad to have an experienced SEC guy on this line.
Lets get to work S&C coach, and OL coaches. You got some work to do.
So I'm behind on this story. Leavitt already visited LSU then went to Knoxville and Lane went up there too? Or was Knoxville visit before LSU's?
I didn't know details of the story. Please inform

Oregon and Tech will drive up the price to unrealistic levels... both are "new money" types and have no problem, as we've seen, splashing cash if for no other reason than to try to make a statement..

They are also to paying $50+ million in buyout money.

Moore (Center) staying at LSU

I just saw this today? Had this been suspected or hinted at?
So we are hanging on to Davis and Moore it seems.

Ty Simpson to the NFL

Posted by jp4lsu on 1/12/26 at 4:48 pm
Looks like Miami was wanting to grab Simpson. Miami is running out of options unless they can convince Simpson to stay in college with $5+ million.
Is he ready? I don't think so. It is about snap counts in college that is the indicator as to how you can perform in NFL. But being a weak class this year, it might be the way to go.
My bad for not posting link. I watched it on my phone but made the post on PC and was lazy. No excuse.
I hope he comes, but the injury has me concerned in how many reps can he get in this new offense before the season. Clark may get an advantage on Sam for the job with work in the spring. Clark clearly has the arm, does he have the brain to make the reads and decisions post snap.

SEC Shorts Hammered Lane and LSU

It was humorous but the united SEC front clapping for OM was a bit much.
The Ref tackling OM at the end was funny though.
He was prescient for sure.
Monty Python's Life of Brian nailed it in the early 80's.
