I agree. If he got everything he could out of LSU and OM, but he is choosing LSU, it is a risk for us. OM could come back with more NIL.
-Maybe he told them he is going to LSU but wants to get OM into the best playoff position and finish the season. I don't know how anybody keeps that under wraps though.
-Maybe he really hasn't given anybody an answer and just wants to finish the reg season with his players.

This happens every year dummy.

This cycle has been really strange and it is because of Lane and Sexton creating leverage openly for fans and schools to see.
Now we have this delay in decision till the last game of the season.
Why would OM do this?
1) To settle things down and bring the focus back to football these last 2 weeks and insure their playoff position?
2) To allow time for OM and boosters put a better NIL package together?
3) Then Sexton leaks the LSU deal to see of OM will sweeten the pot?

Has LK really made a decision yet or is he waiting for OM new bid?
Has LK made has decision but hasn't told OM and requested the delay so he and the team can focus on these last 2 weeks to put OM in the best position of CFP?

I can see this breaking either way for LSU or OM.

I think he is staying. It will be great PR that he is sticking with OM, the school that took the risk on him and got him players he has needed. If he goes to LSU, he will be discussed on ESPN as "leaving his team before the playoffs and will chase whatever comes next regardless of situation. He is in it for Lane....."

I wouldn't buy an argument like that because coaches leave all the time for a better job and opportunity but this is how it will get spun. I think Lane cares about how he is viewed more than he used too. I don't think he is the selfish pr!ck he used to be. He is a diff guy now.

This seems a little similar to Miles going to Michigan rumors. He was celebrated when he decided to stick with LSU and shut Herby up.

This doesn't bode well for LSU IMO. He has stated that he is happy at OM. Of course he kind of has to say that if OM is still in the game for him.
But taking his words and him dropping something like this at 5 am seems like a hint to OM that he is staying because of him saying he is happy at OM in the past.

Lane is probably living his best life right now, he is a different person than he used to be. Man he is loving this and dropping these nebulous bits around X.

I don't think it plays into it much at all. Knowing the NIL budget and the which school gives you the best recruits in that state.
LSU is the only big fish in the state and all those kids growup LSU fans. Saban knew this and built a wall around the state and knew he could have a winning team by keep the top recruits in the state. We still saw Saban at Bama coming in and poaching top guys.
So I think for recruits and guys that are in the portal from this state could be easy pickings for Lane.
