re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch Volume III

Toof how is that MM lost recipe. I enjoyed the 46 french oak.

I finally found a Weller 107 here in Fort Worth. I like it so much better than Weller 12 yr. 12yr has heavy char flavor and 107 is much lighter on char and has some cherry dried fruit note.
I had to spend 140.....bahh

I haven't seen the cigar blend. I need to pickup a Barrell. I had a bottle years ago of Armada and remembered liking it. That was before I got into bourbon though. I should try it again and see what my thoughts are now.
I think Luiz is the only one that might not get approved.
I think the reasons for the hate on Wade right now are multi-faceted.
1) LSU is an easy target after the hate the media threw at Kiffin for leaving a playoff team, for better pay, better facilities, and better opportunity. We do the same in our lives, so do the players, but the fact that he got OM to the playoffs and he leaves just really pissed the media off and it gave them a chance to sell clicks by making him a villain.
2) The same holds true with Wade, make him a villain and get clicks. He left NC State after 1 year....how dare he? Even though every player MBB change colleges every year.
3) They help make him a villain by exploiting his cheating scandal at LSU
4) They help make him villain by being outraged at the Euro league players coming to LSU and trying to get a G-league player to LSU.

It is all to create a villain to sell more clicks and views, but to do this you have to ignore the deeds of other coaches becasue they would look like hypocrites. Moscana is right in exposing the hypocrisy of Goodman.
If the NCAA isn't going to set definitive guidelines and rules for G-league or Euro League guys coming to play college, then push the boundaries.
I don't like what is happening but if the NCAA isn't going to reign it in, then I'm fine with CWW doing this.
Happy that they got a national championship and thanks bringing it to LSU fellas. Enjoyed watching you guys. Great work.

Massie was a lot more against Trump in his rhetoric. Paul hasn't been trying to piss off Maga. Massie has been.

So Rand hasn't served in the people's interest? I would argue he is the one that has been the best at at it when you look at fiscal responsibility, privacy, COVID, etc. Just because he doesn't get on the Trump side on a couple votes and he is bad?

Oh yeah let's get rid of all the real conservatives that push back against the federal govt and try to hold it accountable.
Now I'm fine getting out guys like Turtle, Cornyn, who walk the fence too much and aren't on our side half the time.
But to want Rand out for a conservative is idiotic.

These guys have never played together...it'll be awhile before they can even communicate. We will will 15-18 games at most.

I'm not too worried about that considering Michigan team was all portal players together for one year
Slow down LSUAlum2001....I'm not sure "Stacked" is the word for this rosters. There are 2 players with average double digit scoring. 3 if you include Nunez at 9.8.

Will we be better? Definitely.

I think the strategy is to win now and get the attention of other portal player for next season. He is pushing the envelope of the NCAA and this will either force them to set boundaries on the pro-league guys coming into college with some eligibility left.

You know what else does that?

A 3-15 SEC record.

That is true, but that is mainly LSU fans and local media. The national media didn't care until Wade came back.

If Wade wins and makes a big run, they will bash LSU/Wade for bringing in pro-players and ruining the nature of college sports. They won't turn and point the finger at the NCAA for not setting boundaries.
First, I don't like the idea of taking G-League players and pro European players to play college ball. It's backwards as to what college athletics is about. I guess with NIL and being paid to play opens the door for this kind of stuff. I'm not crazy about it for LSU because it will bring unwanted attention to our program in a negative way.....unless we win, then maybe it will be lightened up a bit.

Second, this situation is all the NCAA's fault. They have little to no guardrails on transfers and portals and have ruined what we all love about college sports. It is one thing to pay players, but to let them go shopping for the next year and switch teams every year of their college career is messed up. They blew this up and if they haven't placed guardrails or definitive rules to pro-league players coming to play college ball, then it is their own fault and I'll stand behind CWW with these moves.

Wade is trying to win NOW and is pushing boundaries of what is allowed or he is forcing the NCAA to set the rules with this boundary pushing he is doing. Either way I'm fine with it. I don't like what college sports has become thanks to the NCAA, but if the NCAA has not made rules about pro players coming to CBB, then it's their fault.

I have a feeling they will crack down on LSU and Wade on this topic. They don't like Wade, the media is not a fan of Wade and Wade/LSU have exposed the lack of guardrails the NCAA has allowed.

He was given the benefit last night on some fouls.
He set up a pick on a 6-7" guy pushed him in the back as he went by, bending the guy over as Wemby breaks for the basket.

They lob the ball to Wemby, the defender had his hand on his chest as he jumps up to grab ball and he flops back to the ground and they call the push off foul on the defender. But yet he is allowed to push somebody in the back while running a pick using the guy to push off of to help him get to the basket fastener.

I don't like ranking guys that have such a physical advantage over everybody else. Physically he towers over everyone and can move well for that size. That's special for sure but I wouldn't rank him best or at the top because his physical size gives him so much of an advantage.

Guys that are similar size and put up crazy points becuase they work and practice hard to get that edge are the ones Id prefer at the top.

It is way too early to predict his position in the greats list. He will have a hard time staying healthy unless he gets some muscle on him. But physically he is a freak.

As far as Lebron, I'd take Kobe over Lebron.
Luis should be more eligible than TTech QB Sorby.
We are getting another pro player from Europe, so what is the difference if there is elibibility left. The NCAA has created a mess.
I don't see how they reinstate him. It won't be right if they do.
The only way would be the argument that he didn't play in those games and couldn't have impacted the game.
The big oil money donor at TT is on the NIL rules board. He is throwing money out there but is also on the board that is proposing rules and guard rails to the NCAA. He has a loud voice and maybe putting pressure on NCAA.
I first saw this video on IG. I thought it was a flight sim game they way the planes stuck together and made the abrupt pitch up. It looks so unnatural and looks like a video game physics engine trying to figure out what to do.

I voted for Bo French when he ran against Charlie Geren for Texas House. Bo keeps running for other office since then. That makes me a little suspicious. I kinda wish he would keep running against Geren.
But he seems like a conservative guy so I'm not sure who I'll vote for.

Mayes gives me that vibe. Chip has a solid conservative record you can look at. I dont anything about Mayes
