They only want to be the flagship university for sports, not academics.

Opposite of the Ivy League schools— they have won a National champion football, baseball or basketball in over 80 years. Ivy League schools put academics first!!! LSU puts academics at the bottom.
LSU will pay whatever it takes for coaches and NIL players to win National Championships, but does not want to do the same to have a Top Tier Academic University. What a terrible way to run the supposedly Flagship state university. Insanity.

re: Fleming and Letlow Debate

Heard Fleming speak years ago when he was a US congressman and said there was not one good government program. Acting like a super conservative but he has been nothing but a government bureaucrat in both state and federal government. Why do we let these guys run on our dime. He is the state Treasurer now— is it taking sick leave or unpaid leave to do all this campaigning??? Leaching off the government because there are no good government programs!
What could possibly go wrong- the dude on poster is possibly smoking a blunt. Rap music promotes misogyny and guns:

Here’s a murder rap to keep y’all dancin’
With a crime record like Charles Manson
AK-47 is the tool
Don’t make me act a fool.”
N.W.A – ‘Straight Outta Compton’
A lot of rap music condones guns, violence and hatred towards cops.
That may be true for franchise, chain restaurants, but really doesn’t apply to restaurants in Nola, Nashville, etc., and other big cities with good dining.
The PSC should have never allowed the sell of Cleco as a publicly, traded company to a private equity conglomerate in the first place. The PSC is to protect the citizens, instead it is fostering capitalism and greed while also incentivizing these private equity companies to constantly prioritize ROE over consumer needs.
This can’t be a good thing. The PE guys will eventually want more juice for their dollars, then Dudley Debosier fills the pressure to do whatever is needed to meet those demands. Eventually, after the PE guys have packaged a few more deals and make a little coin-they sell because they have made money, but see the revenue trending downward.
I find it fascinating the number of Catholics that are upset with the pope because he criticized Trump and war.
It is almost as those Catholics are embracing Idolatry of Trump. Quite a juxtaposition.

re: Money dance at a wedding

The money dance is/was popular at receptions in Cajun country. Never considered it trashy, just cultural in nature. Money is pinned to the bride’s wedding veil, sometimes to the groom’s jacket. It is a great way to dance with the bride. I’m surprised some university professor has not researched the cultural or ethnic origins of this tradition.
I dunno, maybe TulaneLSU knows.
Love sardines on a saltine.
Great food. Pink Salmon in a can is great too. IMO, it is just as good as Tuna.
Only issue with sardines, is the smell- my office gets mad when I “stink up” the kitchen, lol. Tip- brush your teeth or use mouth wash after consuming!!

It is very noisy and average fried food. Atmosphere is nice, but the noise is not.

Correct, the Old Testament is full of revenge, war, and incurring God’s wrath, then Jesus came and preached Love and Forgiveness in the New Testament. A lot of people, Jews including, were not happy about Jesus’s teachings.
No, and I will not donate to his cause unless he puts up $1,000,000 of his campaign war chest and his lobbyist group does the same. I’m tired of his constant need to feel like he has to say a funny quip about one of the issues. He needs to stop with the rhetoric and actually do something about the swamp. He sounds like he is from the Appalachian mountains.

I know this will make many emotional, especially the Texan’s, but Tillamook is superior to Bluebell ice cream. A lot
More natural ingredients and more creamy than Bluebell.
Delta doing the right thing.

It is beyond stupid that these pompous mental midgets shut down the government
Please tell of any hard working
Business that just shuts down because the owners/officer can’t agree on some
Issue.
They don’t because they live in a real world and just make things happen
Most dry packs seasoning are heavy on sodium. I don’t add any extra salt based on that. I cook one sack at a time and add one pack Swamp Dust (it’s has lower sodium than most) and one pint liquid crab boil.
For first time, kind of hard to know, but maybe 3 bags dry and 1 pint or 1 quart liquid crab boil. Will be trial and error for first few times.
Oh, I voted for Trump 3X’s, I just want the government to be transparent- what information did we get or Israel obtain since we destroyed all of Iran’s nuclear facilities in June 2025. We were also told Iraq had enriched uranium to make nuclear bombs, war drums beat, no uranium.

Most of the 9/11 terrorist were from Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt, and one from Lebanon. I would like to honestly know how many people, the dates and events that Iran killed Americans? Vs all the other Arab states. As one OP posted that the sniper attempt on Trump’s life was sponsored by Iran?
