Bamboo House on Boardwalk near I-12 and Sherwood was epic in the mid to late 90’s.

Coyote Blues. In fact, I’d pay someone who worked in the kitchen to ask them a few questions on some of the menu items.

Joe Distefano.

It’s now Portabella’s owned by Kiva Guidroz who had Kiva’s on Airline and he recently let Peter Sclafani, who was bought out of Ruffino’s buy in. They are renovating the Rum House now.

Unlimited breadsticks. Not bad for somewhat fast food Italian.

Nasty Tex-mex - Panchos on Nicholson. I used to kill it when I was in school at LSU.

Thai Hey on Lee. They closed and moved their restaurant to NOLA.

District Donuts & Sliders - Towne Center cancelled their lease.

Chow Main (downtown next to Main Street Market) - didn't survive COVID.

GoYaYa's Crepes and Coffee(in Main Street Market) - Covid casualty.

I'm sure there's a few more recent ones that I can't think of off the top of my head. Half of the restaurants along Chimes Street have probably had at least 1 new owner since this thread was started in 2021.

It was a place on Essen, where the Sushi Masa is now. I think it was called "Drake's"?

Yes. I think the grocery store was A&P then Super Fresh in the 90s. Chelsea's was to the right of the store closer to Highland. It was next to Baskin Robins.

Don't forget Murphy's a stone throw away. I spent months at Chelsea's at that location and I have no recollection of them serving food. Daquiris and beers? Lots. I'm not saying I am correct. There is a lot I do not remember from those times.
