Just to clear it up. I was active-duty Army for 24 years and Civil Service (FERS) for 15 years. Wasn't really ready to retire as I work with the EOD School. My retirement pays takes care of me financially but when the fork in the road appeared it made me have to decide what to do quickly. I really didn't expect this much response on here as I was just looking at other opinions. Been a member on Tiger Droppings 20 years this month and have always valued everyone's opinion.
