Might be reaching, but it sounds like it might be the start of a class action against the ambulatory service for fraud. Especially if one of the conditions of them getting the county contract was they would be in-network for BCBS as you described.
Haven't been to many non-LSU games in person; so probably Marshall vs Louisville GMAC Bowl 2002. One legged Byron Leftwich throwing for 4TDs.

I was, perhaps clumsily, trying to make the point that rattlesnakes close to a beach ingress path can be extremely dangerous, no matter how cute they look to you.

Sure maybe the one you saw had just eaten and was lethargic. It might not be that way tomorrow, and it may be closer to the path, and more hidden.

I personally would remove (kill with extreme prejudice) any rattlesnake that I saw anywhere near a beach ingress path.

My kids and grandkids are going to be walking that path.

That's cool; except that it's a federal crime to kill an animal in a national park.

We went camping there every spring when I was a kid; I think I've seen a rattlesnake near a trail twice. And both times, as soon as it was spotted; a ranger came to keep an eye on it until it moved on. Funny thing is that right near where these pics were taken, there is an area that's fenced off. We were always told us that it was a rattle snake den that's why it was fenced off. (Probably the best way to keep us from trying to sneak in.)

Not going to post a new thread since the info is a few weeks old. But SECStatCat has Leavitt as the 2nd highest graded QB in the country based on Ceiling, Floor, Accuracy, Mobility, Arm, Processing, and Pressure handle.

I wonder where the Exxon Coastal Lawsuit settlement comes into play.

Landry LED's MO is to give away the farm. Did Exxon give the land to the State and SpaceX get a $1/year lease deal? (Similar to the Hyundai deal).

Eta: like I mentioned, this is awesome. I just hesitate when it comes to handing out billions of public resources to private corporations.

I’m skeptical of the data centers, but I love this

Same. Imagine Huntsville/Alabama telling Boeing or NASA to f-off/NIMBY.

I am curious about the scale of it. And if they go through with the vertical integration from production/fuel/launch.

Events like a bowling tournament is about the best we can do.

The bowling tournament was a pretty good deal for the city. A 5 months long event consistently bringing visitors downtown the entire time.

The state has put out $50 million already just to study the new corridor. They want to put the thing right through protected wetland. It will likely stay hung up in permit hell for decades

Is this that project where if the cost to mitigate would drain every mitigation bank in the state?

With Mahomes and Fields as QB1 and QB2; he is auditioning for free agency. Maybe he thinks if he shows he can game manage someone will pick him up as an option.

Or he'll get stashed on a practice squad and hope to get picked up as a cheap backup once injuries start piling up as the season goes on.

Data centers pay ~57% of property taxes in Quincy, Washington. They funded a $15 million aquatic center—with a pool, waterslides & lazy river—and a 143,000-square-foot sports complex. They’ve created almost 1,000 jobs. The city admin called it a “miracle.”

Here in LA we exempt the data centers from a majority of property taxes and all state and local sales taxes.

Go look at his numbers vs gambling, army and georgia st that year. Definitely padded his stats against less than impressive competition.

He only played the 1st half in the Grambling and Army games.

The 8 TDs vs Georgia State was definitely stat padding. Which he needed to stay in Heisman contention due to the 3 losses.

Such a weird announcement. Brickyard is a dump and it’s nothing but losers that hang out there. Bizarre.

This sounds like something Rebirth Brands/Piazza would do.

Hard pressed to find many instances where this isn’t the right course of action. Unfortunately not the way with our “leaders.”

Odd that the article left out that Tubberville was one of the 3 that added the transgender amendment. He's directly responsible for adding bloat.
Good luck with that considering the Hiller Moore/BR Rugby tailgate is in that spot at the bottom.
Based on another thread, Friday is move in day for freshmen at LSU; so I'd imagine places close to campus will be packed.

Iverstine Butcher is my favorite lunch spot in BR.

Also, if our O Line is as good as they should be I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the ball in the backfield here and there with blockers in front

I'd rather those kinds of touches go to Berry.

In the Baton Rouge area; it's the store brand for any grocery store that's supplied by Associated Grocers. Which is essentially every grocery store not part of a regional or national chain.
A little late to the party, but you can't go wrong with picking from the Gnarly Barley beers.

The Fest Bier should be out right now.

No.2, It's not the state as a whole; it's by the Parish (or county) depending on how bad the air pollution is there. If it is bad, they have to do emissions tests as a way of making sure a person's car is not adding to the pollution problem (you know, the types with horrible smelling, white smoke exhaust). Baton Rouge area I believe has it, New Orleans does not.

Good news it that it should go away in a year or two.
