Installed my fence with Cedar planks years ago and I had the same experience as you did. After 4-5 years it looks the same as pine. Now, I never sealed it so that would probably help.

Better than being stuck in low earth orbit with no easy path back
And they only sell it maybe twice a month on Fridays only. Their meat counters and frozen products are very high. It's right by my office, so in a pinch I'll grab a chicken salad sandwich which is good.. There fried fish poboy has a bad taste so won't get that again. I like Tramonte much better for their meats. I had high hopes for this place but their deli counter is not good and the prices they charge is more than I would pay.
Definitely happy and like the organization I work for (36 yrs).
Is that new? I’ve gone to the one on S Heights and planning on going out to Brenham.

Last I checked Johnson Controls makes a majority of them.

No, the company I work for (JCI) sold them to a company called Clarios in 2019. We had two manufacturing sites, one in Holland Mi, the other in Monterrey Mexico So I guess it's a North America battery. Headquarters is still in Milwaukee but manufactured in Mx. They manufacture all the Duralast AGM batteries and Optima (Advance Auto) there as well as a lot of OEM products.

East Penn is another manufacturer in the US that sells to OEMs and distributors in the US.

I always had good luck with Optima (sold through Advanced Auto) but haven’t bought one in a few years since we sold them to Clarios. The last one I got was an Interstate and it was great. Like the Optima, it was an AGM battery. So it was more expensive.
I hope not. We had breakfast there three weeks ago.
Lexus was always helpful when I had mine. I’d go by the dealer and get one of the salespeople to try to help. It may cost you nothing.

I have not replaced my windows, but several of my friends used Relief Windows and they were all very happy. Come October we are starting the same process with Relief, Win World, and Pella with my default set for Relief.

Yep, leaving Tuesday for Vegas. Spending a few days at the Grand Canyon and then back to Vegas and it's all LSU.

re: Anybody ever do a Shelby Cobra kit?

Posted by UPGDude on 8/26/24 at 6:33 pm to
My neighbor built a Factory Five kit car. It's basically an "adult model kit" for someone with strong mechanics skills. You can get it as a complete kit with parts that are 'brand new" or buy a wrecked mustang to salvage most components and reuse them. Or you can pay someone to assemble it for you. He chose the completely unassembled kit and provided new components in his build like engine/transmission/rear end. I helped him with all the electrical and it was a lot of fun. But if you have a job it takes a while to get it all assembled so it took him, for example, a year and a half. Once he had the body work done (the body needs a lot of TLC to get it primered and painted) it was a blast to drive.

Why in the world would would flammable be ok? And what is to protect against it.

First, it's not propane. Both new refrigerants, whether R32 or R454B, are considered "mildly flammable". Most manufacturers in the U.S. are going with R454B which is a blend of R32 / R1234yf. It has characteristics similar to R410A with its temp/pressure relationship. Daikin / Goodman are using R32 since they pioneered that ref in their VRF systems a few years back. They don't own R32 but they have several hundred patents around R32 so they don't want give that up.

But yes, most systems have to employ a leak detection system to now detect a leak in the indoor AHU or Furnace. Generally it shuts down the compressor and the fan runs at a preset speed to dilute the leaked refrigerant.

"Mildy Flammable" is a classification that rates the refrigerant in a system: R410A is rated as an A1 and R454B is an A2L. A2L refrigerants have a low burning velocity which is vastly different than Propane (A3). What that effectively means is you need a high concentration in a very small area with an ignition source of close to 1400DegF. So no your toaster won't ignite a concentrated dose of your new refrigerant.

All of this is a result of the EPA and the Kigali Amendment (Montreal Protocol) and the reduction of global warming potential in our atmosphere. R410a has a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 2088. The new requirement is manufacturers have to be below 700 in their new selected refrigerant. R32 has a GWP of 675. R454B has a GWP of 488.

But single digit GWP refrigerants (like propane) are in our future and the transition to that is around 2034.
