re: Crawfish Boil Reminder: Salt "purging" does nothing. - LSU999
When the crawfish rub against each other in the ice chest, if there is salt on their shells it helps clean the outside of the the shells which in turn cleans the crawfish a little more on the outside than if not using salt. It’s like an abrasive cleaning. Not sure how much difference it makes. Does ...

re: Kevin's on Diversion Canal has sold apparently - LSU999
I just saw a post on Facebook, saying they will be operating as Kevin’s a little while longer and the name will eventually change to Dicarlo’s. Christian DiCarlo is the chef. I don’t know if this chef is well known from somewhere as I know nothing about the place personally or the chef. ...

re: Metal detecting- any of you into it? - LSU999
Awesome. There is a ton more out there. You will have that place to MD for the rest of your life I’m sure. You could find something everyday. You may find an area where they dropped the old gear and got new buckles and straps. That is a dream come true area looks like. I would hunt any creeks a...

re: Metal detecting- any of you into it? - LSU999
No stars in these. There are different variations from different groups. I’ve seen almost every variation through the Facebook groups I’m in and from a co worker who knows Port Hudson like the back of his hand. He’s hunted the area from the 70’s to now. ...

re: Metal detecting- any of you into it? - LSU999
Again, sorry for the links. The measurements are around 1” in length and half inch wide. I know when I come across a bullet for sure. The reading it gives my machine and the sound lets me know I would say 95% of the time. On my AT Pro it rings up a 67-69 range and a loud ring, kind of like going ove...

re: Metal detecting- any of you into it? - LSU999
Here are a couple of pics. Like I said I haven’t had much good hunting ground. The ring was found in New Orleans City park area. It’s a 1944 High school ring from New York. The two other pics are from Port Hudson area. I’ve spent many hours finding junk everywhere else and it’s slowed my attent...

re: Metal detecting- any of you into it? - LSU999
I have a Garrett At Pro. Invited to do some metal detecting around Port Hudson a couple of times. Got some bullets and some artillery shell pieces. Wish I had somewhere old or a decent place. Hard to stick with it without good hunting land. ...

Start the car and take cap off radiator. Let temperature come up and the water pressure will push the water out of the radiator. Obviously, don’t let the car run hot before shutting it off and then adding coolant....

re: Why does it matter what the head coaches skin color is? - LSU999
It’s never enough. There are very few white players other than kickers, punters, Quarterbacks and offensive lineman. Most other players are black. White players in the NBA are getting scarce. Can’t help it if black men with money like basketball more than football. Jay Z and others are part owners o...
