Pickleball courts seem like a great idea. I just don't think the pickleball and food combo is a smart business move for the food side. I have no interest in dining at a pickleball facility.

BTW, buckle up. The drought last summer will mean + $5 or even $6 all season this year....

re: Your personal Trinity ratio (onions, celery, bell pepper)?

I don't use green bell peppers. At all. I would say I use 3-2-1 onions, non-green bell peppers, celery. I use a lot of celery in my broths and stocks. I don't love the way it looks in dishes....

Filet them. Scrape the grime from the skin. Cut out the blood line. An 18-22 inch redfish straight on the skin is grimy. Unless you like bloody jello. ...

re: Why doesn’t Cane’s do coupons?

Why would they? The business is built on efficiency. You don’t even get perks on the app.
It’s the perfect fast service business model. ...

It’s fun. There’s a secret parking garage but I can’t share that with you.
Everything is good. Nothing is stellar. You are going for the experience and wait staff. You will feel important.

This one is random and may not matter. But I see a lot of “recipes” that say take your 1.5 inch steaks out of the fridge 20 minutes before you cook them so they come to room temperature. Unless you keep your house at 100 degrees, that’s not going to happen.
If you want it at room temp take it ou...
You mix the molasses with the brown sugar in the box and store?
Nope. Mix molasses with plain white granulated sugar as needed.
Brown sugar is just white sugar mixed with molasses for that deeper flavor. But as you know it clumps and gets hard after opening. Making a little bit...

I just learned this one not long ago.
