Northeast of Atlanta is another one of the state’s most populous cities, Athens, which is home to the University of Georgia. Aside from the state’s flagship university, the city also is famous for its music scene, which produced R.E.M., the B-52’s and Widespread Panic.

Glad to see Panic getting some love.

Colorado at least has an excuse for its problems (I.e. drugs

I always say drugs have the same problem as guns. It's the people that's the problem. If you can't bang a speedball in the office bathroom before strolling into the quarterly earnings meeting or snap yourself out of a K hole when the light turns green like a responsible adult, then don't do drugs.

The SLC airport is paradise

Clean. Efficient. Well run.

The train in SLC is literally on an honor system. Pay before you get on and nobody checks your ticket.

Funny how the best places to live all have something in common………

……….. snow ……… yeah the snow……

The people seem to be about as bland as you could possibly be, but I guess that's a fair trade off.

Most of my family live in Provo/Orem so I've spent a lot of time there over the years. I can see how someone could say that. I always get Stepford Wives vibes but that area is ultra-Mormon, even for Utah. Great people, though.

These lists are always something.

The beginning of their little write up on Alabama says a whole lot:

Alabama’s role at the center of the Civil War and later the civil rights movement

Especially considering they're trying to determine:

Careful - I got a week ban a few years ago for saying Montana was a utopia due to less than 2% minority population

Montana is 6% Native American, 4% Hispanic, and 5% mixed race. Maybe you got banned for posting erroneous information? Montana is ranked #25 in this study and it is 83% white, FYI. And too fricking cold in the winter

And I would 100% want to live in Louisiana over Utah, Washington, Idaho, Nebraska and Minnesota any day all day.

MLM per capita put Utah over the top.

When you get one stat so blatantly wrong, your methods have to be examined.

It's based on [#15 Air & Water Quality; #50 Pollution], not scenery. Which is also why Utah is so low.

Well, I do my part by continuing to be a lifelong
non-criminal.

So leave guys like me out of this. We aren't a part of the problem. Focus on making life hurt for those who are and MAYBE things have a chance to go the other way.

Idaho is horrible. No one should want to live here. Absolutely zero diversity.
