Saying "not inherently " assumes that the people that make up the place, and the decisions that are made, aren't a significant factor in making it a joke.
I mean everywhere is "not inherently a joke" if you take the people out. It's just a useless statement.

If you looked outside my window, you would see some of the most beautiful landscape that can be seen.
Gorgeous moss laden oaks, magnolias and cypress handing over a beautiful waterway that could be a poster for our states beauty.
Sorry you like strip malls with Nail salons, Marshall’s and Ross stores with Panera Bread and Texas Roadhouse as your dining options but we like our culture and food here.
Louisiana is different that’s the beauty. That’s why we love it.
