Players are emotional. Some players are not emotional. Umpires are supposed to be the one keeping order on the field. I do not blame the kid one bit. For anything that he did. He can show up an umpire if he wants to deal with the possible penalty. The umpire can ring him up with a close strike. The only person wrong in this situation is the Umpire thinking he is above the game.

They just suspended the umpire

As an umpire, that is embarrassing. Should have talked to the kid about not using his bat to show the previous pitch. The batter shouldn't show up the umpire by pointing and the umpire should look like a jack arse by ringing up that 3rd strike.

Batter should have been tossed when he used the bat to mark the strike zone. Problem solved.

There's too much pettiness in baseball. Everybody's so damn sensitive about stupid arse gestures, "bat flips", and shite.

It didn't matter where that pitch was it was gonna be a strike. You don't show up the ump like he did on the previous pitch

No excuse for the ump's lack of professionalism. One's character is determined not only by how one acts, but how one reacts to others.

Also, respect to the UNO catcher for stepping in to diffuse the situation. Looks like he knew exactly how the batter felt.

Shouldn't have acted out like that after the first bad call.

If he were a white umpire he'd be labeled a racist and cancelled by the time he got home that night.

Ump needs to be fired. Bush league

That ump should be barred from calling a game ever again. That was vindictive and unprofessional, regardless of how the batter was acting.

Agreed. If you want to run the kid for arguing balls and strikes, toss him. Don’t do that bullshite.

It's hard to believe that a batter has never just hauled off and hit an ump with the bat...why would you do something like that to a guy with a club in his hand

He was definitely being plano sarcastic seeing as the umpire was black. Apparently plano didn’t watch the video. Lol

Fun fact: the batter leads the nation in stolen bases this year.

That was about as bad of a strike call as I have seen. Even the catcher knew it was bad and likely saved the batter from making a big mistake. Ump is a POS.

I definitely don’t agree with either strike(especially the last one), but it seems to happen a lot when you go to pointing out location. Umps like to be noticed, but so do players these days.

Had money on the game.

That's exactly what happened. NOT saying it is right, but that is exactly what the ump did. Sad.
