Some other good choices have been mentioned, but also check out Janus Henderson.

Yes. We have a whole roster of motivated players who will play with a chip on their shoulder.

Those who have been here a while don't want to see another opening L and those new portal, impact guys want to play for something. IMO, for the first time in years we have athletes at every level on DEF - DL, LB, DB - that can make impactful plays. Come out fast on OFF and make some plays on DEF to include creating a turnover or two, and don't forget about the speed back there on STs. Punch them in the nose and keep on punching them.

Yep! They are the best team in the CWS not named LSU. HUGE game to set us up for success in the following days. No other way to say it.

Hope Anderson is ON for min 7IP and our lineup finds ways to get on base, move runners, and keep scoring. This is what you worked for, to be in these positions.

Talk about a GREAT 1st appearance! Bringing the heater and not backing down. Here it is, try to hit it. Good on him & I hope he continues to have success.

You talk about being on the edge of your seat for 11 innings watching some phenomenal baseball, from both teams.

He is so special. I just wish he were on a team where it mattered.

Hopefully, he gets traded somewhere good soon.

It will certainly be interesting as he gets closer to the end of his rookie contract. NO WAY Pitt can afford to keep him, not with the NY teams, Dodgers, Cubs, Phils, and others ready to throw hundreds of millions at him.

PS seems like a quiet, non-assuming guy. It will be interesting to see where he wants to play.

Braswell’s swing is terrible

He needs to watch some film and go back to the tee & bucket of balls. Get the plane of his swing aligned to where he feels it & sees it resulting in squared up contact. Love his D at 3b, but too often the last two weekends he has come up with a chance to do some damage and he has left ducks on the pond. His bat coming alive for the CWS would complete the lineup and keep pressure on the opposing pitchers.

CONGRATS to him! He is one of those guys I wish we saw pitch more in a LSU uniform.

Different topic, but I hope Shores sticks around for another season. His best pitching in an LSU uniform can still be ahead of him.

re: Crews a bust?

He obviously has a more severe obligue strain than initially diagnosed. He was coming around and having some better games at the plate. From everything I had read he was fielding his position well in the OF. At the major league level, it is a constant game of adjustments. Look at W. Langford batting .227 and he has been playing full time since last season.

I believe a healthy D. Crews will be back and prove he is one of the better young OF's across MLB.

We are going to need some quality IPs from our BP if we want to finish this season on top. 1 or 2 current guys, who have not done it to date, are going to need to find the zone and get in a groove b/c at some point we will need them to win it all.

And he’s not as good as Anderson and Eyanson

You got to think CJJ is going to turn these two guys loose this weekend. If they are in a groove, we'll see 100-115 pitches out of them. Tonight especially, it wouldn't surprise me to see Evans come in to finish off a close game to secure that 1st W.

If the OFF is complimentary to the SP this weekend, we'll be going to Omaha.

I was in the USMC supporting an exercise in a Combat Operations Center in 2000. Fortunately, I had a laptop nearby and I was wearing out the 'refresh' button keeping up with LSU v Stanford finals. Got the update and notification when Brad Cresse hit the walk-off single to win the game 6-5. I had to step outside to celebrate and then get back into the fight! GREAT TIMES from an unprecedented era of LSU Baseball.

CRAZY!
GOOD job Nuss. We want your receivers to be dreaming of catching crossing, slant & go routes in full stride, and taking them to the house!

Ethan the BEAST! He is only scratching the surface of the hitter he can be.

You guys were rich with a ping poing dinner table!

I remember it was a coffee table and you sat on a chair, the couch or the floor while we watched TV.....and it didn't suck.

re: Evans giving the ball to Eyanson

With his talent and energy (swagger), Evans is going to be fun to watch as a starting pitcher next season on Fri or Sat nights.
We need to go find two more like him!

It is of course promising to see him square up that HR, but he needs to stay right there in the #6 spot. It lengthens the lineup and puts less pressure on him in the #2 spot. See the ball, hit the ball.

PS Our #2 hitter Frey is hitting his stride, and I hope he does not look back. He has that Wyatt Langford build and swagger to him. Almost like must see TV when he comes to bat as you want to see where he is going to press it.
