LSU Fallguy

Alright!! Fernandina Beach resident!

I love it up there. We have a place and spend a fair amount of time up there in the summer and a few other certain times each year. We also rent the place out so we don’t exactly spend weeks at a time or anything like that.

I say “we” but it was owned first back in the 70’s by my wife’s grandparents and then her parents. They’ve both passed away now, so my wife and her brother inherited it.

The restaurant scene sure has blossomed there over the last 10-15 years.

Man I LIVE in Jax and can’t be there. Stuck in Chicago for work. :banghead:

Did they hire the idiots running the Jackson MS water board?

Ha!! No but get this. The DEI loving CEO in charge was also in charge of the Flint, Michigan water disaster.

ETA: Article about the assclown CEO
Well, if Zizzlefontain2 says it, it must be true.

The teachers encourage this crap though.

Both of you are spot on correct. These children are being lead astray and indoctrinated by these absolute pieces of shite in the school systems. Those are the motherfrickers that truly need to be tarred and feathered out in the streets. And that’s the very least that should be done to them.

Thats a long way from the bayou to go get a fish sandwich, but I wonder if they'd UBER eats??

Yeah, even though a fair number of people on this board know about Culver’s, especially for their butter burgers, unfortunately there are still no locations in Louisiana.

Closest appear to be Houston and Mobile. Bummer.

Never had either. Will have to check them out.

I'm weird I guess, but I prefer Culver's cod sandwich over the walleye.

Yeah I’ve had the cod a few times as well, but I definitely prefer the walleye. But hey, we’re certainly allowed to have different opinions.

Northwoods Walleye ey? Sounds like I need to make a trip to Sheboygan and get one ..

You definitely should. Well worth it.:cheers:

What a show and can't wait to see them again.

I have no doubt. I’ve seen them twice, most recently a couple of years ago in Jacksonville. I would love to have been back in the old hometown last night for the show.
When it comes to tartar sauce, I’m okay with sweet. But when it comes to just plain pickles, I’ll take dill every day of the week and nine times on Sunday.

ETA: And of course, you can get it without.

Served every year only during Lent. I was at a Culver’s earlier today here in Chicago though and they already had it, as of a couple of days ago they said. I did not buy it as Ash Wednesday is always when I first indulge. Only a few more days to wait.

Love me some Sage Steele.

Yeah, I don’t know if you could tell from my OP, but not my favorite.

Brand new video from Down

Okay this is a trip. Covering Dr. John. I can’t say I ever envisioned a video like this from Down.

Wish we had one here I would be a fatass

Get the fatty pastrami, the lean isn't nearly as good.

Yeah, I can definitely believe that.

perhaps the greatest sandwich in the entire world

Now that is some hefty praise right there. I don’t know that I like corned beef enough for it to surpass some of the best roast beef poboys I’ve had. But I have no doubt I would love the reuben.

We have ordered the Reuben package from Katz several times. Not cheap, but definitely delicious.

Nice. Thanks for the link. This is good to know, although I would love to make my first experience with the meat being actually ordering the sandwich there. Maybe if a couple more years go by and I haven’t been up there.
