With his wife expecting and the BS of the office I’d be surprised if he doesn’t go back into the private sector.

No, you don’t understand the meaning of war. This is far from a war not very far from over in the outcome is undecided.

I 100% agree with this sentiment.

Nope. I am many things, but desperate is not one of them. Been very happy and comfortable living on my own for 12+ years. Just bourbon-driven thoughts on a slow Friday night.

Pretty much all 52 in the deck were rounded up.

Friday night ponderings…

Is it really “unmanly” to love a woman to the point of being “weak” toward her as far as showing her you care about her and love her?

Full disclosure, I’m divorced and toying with the idea of dating again (I’ve dated off and on but nothing serious or with any intent) but lately I’ve been thinking that finding one person to live out my days with isn’t a terrible idea.

Maybe it’s watching my dad going through end days with his wife, but I think a real man lets a woman he loves know how much he loves her.
He and that one dude from Notre Dame can double date with their imaginary girlfriends.
Biden is actually a great yardstick on how far the mainstream Democrat party moved left over the years.

Biden was remarkably consistent his adult life - he was a POS liar and stayed that way. The party lurched far enough left it caught up with him.

You talking $3.00/gallon in a state like Louisiana or Oklahoma, or $3.00/gallon as the national average before July 4?

I am talking about gas in the mid $3s not 3 even. National average. Current is $4.319 so I’m thinking we are down 60-75 cents a galling by the fourth on a national average basis.

I may move my oil shorts before then because the profit on the right now is pretty nice.
I paid $5.13 for diesel the other day. It is dropping like a rock.

I had said we would see $3 gas by the fourth for a while now.
Hold on to that moment. My dad is dealing with end-stage Parkinson's with his wife of over 30 years (they married when I was an adult, so calling her my stepmother seems silly), and it's breaking him up.

He would love to have one coherent, last moment with her. Instead, he is killing himself taking care of her.

If God is the light, then by the rules of physics, he does not experience time.

As we get closer and closer to pure energy (according to some dude named Einstein), the very nature of time changes. Our seconds don't matter, so what is 7 days at that point?
I saw a presentation from a theoretical physicist who presented how God could have made the world in 7 days, it was 7 days as we think about it because God is energy and the closer you get to energy the more time slows.

Some of the classic Carson shows with guys like the Rat Pack all on drinking and smoking telling jokes and riffing on one another.

We were a proper country once upon a time.

There’s still Army corps absolutely ruined the Missouri River from about Sioux City down.

I graduated from HS in Sioux City have spent 1,000s of hours on that river for a variety of reasons.

We still duck hunt up river from Ponca, NE. The crazy part was a few years ago they friend to build artificial sandbars for the piping plovers to nest on. Literally spent millions only to have the river do what she does — wash them away.

There’s still time. Watch yourself.
If they are getting paid, are they not conducting commercial activities which have a different set of rules on what you can and can't say and do?

Oh noooo he was arrested.

What was he CONVICTED of? Oh yeah, nothing. So anytime an overzealous DA goes after a political opponent, the person they go after should permanently be DQ from public office?

Those people aren’t politicians. That description fits damn near everyone who runs for office regardless of party.
