No press is bad press. Anything that keeps the LSU name and brand in the headlines is good, and this drama certainly gets eyeballs. He may not have meant to, but JD5 just increased the overall value of the LSU brand, which directly impacts how much $ kids can make by coming here - more endorsements, Nike deals, NIL etc.

So yeah it's childish but just like the Angel Reese "You cant see me" hand to Catlin Clark, LSU is the winner at the end of this.
