Our DL might be a mixed bag week 1, but watching them grow into a dominant unit (which I’m confident will happen) is going to be one of the funnest storylines for the 2026 lsu season.

I agree, the early schedule will be tough but simply because the DL will improve greatly as the year goes on the late schedule and the playoffs are setting up to be special

ESPN is the most inaccurate recruiting site of them all
Navy ahead of LSU is pretty amazing

They must have a hell of a team, or you know what maybe Phil is right. Maybe we are just not that good. Cant wait to beat Clemson like a drum week one and stuff it in the mouth of all these idiots.

Get em Cats! Love the confidence
I'm really excited about this year. We have set up the roster really well, if Kiffin is half the coach we all know he is we could be in for a special season.

If our freshman DL can come in and make a few tackles in the run game we will be elite on defense, top 10. All indications are the QB is healthy and working hard, our RB room is deep and talented and Kiffin is a master at the run game.

It will start like this -

LSU 32, Clemson 10 - after game narrative is Clemson sucks, we don't know about LSU. But for those of us watching, we see our front 7 on D playing in the opponents backfield all game long.

LSU 28, Ole Miss 17 - A dominating defensive performance keeps giving the ball back to our run heavy offense, grinding the opposing defense to a pulp by the 4th quarter. Pete Golding has no answers.

I mean, can we step back as a fan base and acknowledge that LSU is 2–5 in the last seven games in Oxford? We have struggled for whatever reason.

(Scoob) -

By and large, our defense did a solid job against Ole Miss last year. If we could have put some offense together in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, I think we win.

Both are true - I think Ole Miss made a good hire with John David Baker at OC, he will be able to keep the uptempo offense going, but he's not Lane Kiffin. Baker on Baker (their O vs our D) is where this game will be won or lost, and I will take our Baker in year 3 with a returning Whit Weeks over their Baker in year 1. LSU 28 Ole Miss 17
they sound like idiots

Texas, Bama, A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss

Did you know that after the touchdown he also kicked the extra point

He also took the entire team out to dinner to celebrate that night. Paid with 100's. Nice guy

I think the time has come to stop being more obsessed with Bama losing than LSU winning.

nah, both are equally good at this point.

Check back with me after 4 years of bama with 5 wins per year
good video even if it is AI based. Much easier to watch at 1.5x speed tho

thanks for posting good video

we started the game on a 17-3 run.

They way that GT team shot the three that night we could have been up by 30 and they would have come back to beat us. That team was really good, and even so the UNLV team that won it all was unbelievable.

I'd love to see a Lane team do the same thing (of course it will have Offense) with a signature Defense

This defense has a legit shot to be special. Blake Baker comes back, which is the biggest thing.

Up front we're deep, talented and should have a scary pass rush. In the middle we got the two top tacklers in the SEC from last year, and in the backfield we got a lockdown corner and a freak at safety.
