This right here should end all negative arguments about GLP1s. It's doing exactly what it needs to do. I don't care if people who don't need it want to pay full price for it while those who do get insurance help. The insurance coverage on a GLP1 is significantly less than the cost of obesity health care.

That Hodge speed trap gets another one.

I would not be surprised if another 5 or 20 girls come forward.

There are several one word “finally” posts on the Ruston Rants FB post about this. Younger women just recently out of HS. That leads one to think this is a pattern of behavior that’s been going on some time.
$20,000,000 is a hell of a grift if someone is on the take. More likely they ran a deficit years ago and kept trying to cover debt with more debt and the interest kept growing. Then there was no more road left to kick the can down any farther.

I’m going to read your post and see what it’s about but damn man, give the ellipses a break.
They aren’t being educated on how to save and manage money. At any level. You’re expected to graduate, get a job, stick money in a 401k then hope you have enough to retire on when they get there.

I am a financial advisor and I show young clients a page from a presentation to them that changes everything. It’s a chart showing a 22 year old who maxes out a Roth IRA from the ages of 22-30 can stop investing and if the rate of return matches the S&P just that investment will be $3,000,000 by the time they retire at 67.

Conversely, if someone starts out at age 31 and maxes out every year until they retire at 67, it’s about it $2,700,000.

Me personally, I’m in the latter group and I wanted to kick my own arse when I first saw this.

That’s enough to take comfortable withdrawals, not be impacted by whatever happens with social security, and not have to touch the principal.
Wife was going through a time where she was depressed and angry with everyone. About a month ago I told her “I feel I have to say this. You’ve been rude and condescending to all of us for the last six months. I can’t deal with it anymore. If you feel you can’t get some help and turn this around, I suggest you call XXX (friend who is getting a divorce) and see if her attorney will give y’all a group rate.”

She didn’t talk to me for 4 days, but since then she started therapy and it’s been better than it’s been in years.
The wildest part of all this is if this doesn’t die with the current media and backlash, he could definitely find a judge somewhere to grant a TRO. Judge shopping has become an Olympic sport.

Welp. I didn’t have seeing Elmo’s O face on my bingo card today, but here we are.
I love it when OT threads jump right off the rails of the OP’s intention from the very first post.
Honestly, who cares what they do with their money? If they want to pay for that type of experience and it helps them in some way, and it’s legal, so what?

Well holy shite. You guys weren’t lying about this being entertaining. Most fun I’ve had reading a book in a long time. Already on to book 2

ETA: Good books tend to turn to movies in my head and I’m trying to put a voice to Donut. I already see Carl as a bare foot Henry Cavill. Maybe Reese Witherspoon for Donut?

I could be completely off base and she’d be more of a Julie Andrews type.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Best decision you’ll ever make. I’ve been almost two years without one. You won’t believe how bad you smelled and how bad feeling “normal” is when smoking.

Well I just picked up the first book at the airport and about to start page 1 of this journey. Here goes…
Given all the surcharges listed pay for a service which costs the company money, do you believe these services should be free to the consumer and the company eat those costs and operate at a loss?
Day 1 will be 500 executive orders to undo Trump’s EOs. Instead of codifying law we’ve fallen into this never ending cycle of back and forth EOs
This is the way. So glad Tech is out of CUSA

ETA: “ULL”
First, I really am skeptical of this pope. But second, aren’t we acting the same as the masses when Jesus dined with tax collectors and prostitutes?

ETA: I know Jesus went on to share and convert the sinners. Which we don’t see this pope doing. Hence my skepticism. I just feel conflicted passing judgement from the bleachers
Even the flag said frick this I ain’t waiving for this
