That’s definitely high even post Covid. The place I use is around $25/suit plus or minus.

I had it at -7.5. These guys can’t even lose right. Damn
That pat Adams .2 second jump ball really fricked me. Never seen one called that quickly

Dairy Bonds
It should say:
“Take him for half his money because I have no marketable skills”
But that’s a lot to fit on a shirt and even more to try and read

Yorke made some athletic plays, nice scoop and dig on a one hopper and then picking up second on that pitch in the dirt
If you haven’t seen the video of Kruk’s locker room tour it is great.

Proper steak. The juice in the meat and not leaking all over the plate
Thanks. I have ran into that problem in the past. This time I cooked it on a higher heat for less time and threw it in the oven in the pan for a few minutes. Was very happy with the result.

You haven’t shopped at Lee Michael’s have you? They still provide the very experience you deem obsolete
I actually went to Lee Michael’s yesterday to drop off a watch to be serviced.
LM is a boutique not a department store like Saks. Personal shoppers at boutiques are more common than a large department store.

They could have closed other store locations but chose NO. I do think it matters
Except they are closing 7 other Saks locations around the country and a Neiman Marcus.
It is in the article and OP

Not surprising. NOLA is not headed in a good direction. Maybe this new mayor can help save it a little bit but NOLA really need conservatives to take over
Whether NOLA is trending up or down is irrelevant here. This is an indictment more on retail shopping than NOLA.
What you have is a company, Global Brands, who tripled down on three luxury department stores:
Saks
Neiman Marcus
Bergdorf Goodman
All while brick and mortar shopping is down. People don’t need the extras that upscale department stores offer anymore. The personal shopper has been made almost useless with the internet and social media now. You have direct links to the things being advertised to you before the reel is over. You don’t need someone in a store to introduce you to an item anymore.
It is a shame because there is something about going to a nice store and being given personal attention by someone who knows what they are doing but it is obsolete now unfortunately.
Anyway, Sac’s on Burnside is still going strong

A lot. Undiagnosed bi-polar alcoholic.
Would use the license plate on his Chevy square body as a gauge to where the trailer hitch was. That old raised painted LP was so worn and beat you could barely make out the letters and numbers.
Would always pack a cooler of beer when we went out to dinner Friday/Saturday nights.
We had a lot of land growing up, had a burn pile and fish guts pile after he cleaned them. Would ride out to both on his cub cadet beer in hand
Could wire anything with zero professional training
Had his own bathroom in the house where he had both his TPs. Times Pic and Toilet paper
Popped squirrels out of 100+ year d pecan trees with a pump action BB gun and no scope

I had this same dilemma going to NYC and a Mets game. I just packed my suitcase, put that in a box and shipped it to my hotel. Picked it up when I checked in after the game

The "handoff" to go from Botswana, which was an unreal safari, to Zimbabwe was a bit unnerving.
I also went to Zambia and Zimbabwe on that trip and felt safer there than Cape Town, not that I ever felt unsafe but more aware there.

They’re not just competing with other airlines they are also competing with a functional rail system that will drop you off on the central part of town.

Everyone should read When a Crocodile Eats the Sun. It’s a first hand account of the last days of Rhodesia
Very good book. Mukiwa, his book before crocodile, is about the bush war and very good as well.
Peter Godwin is my favorite modern author. All his books are excellent
quote:
The same thing that happened to Rhodesia
Same effect, different cause. Rhodesia was put under huge political pressure from the United Kingdom, United States, and in an ironic twist of fate South Africa. They watched it happen to their neighbor and then voted for basically the same fate.
I visited South Africa for two weeks in December 2019, and it was the best trip I’ve ever taken. The public safety wasn’t as bad then as it is now. Probably will never be able to go back.
I believe there is at least one South African poster on here who can probably give a detailed explanation.
