Its so absurd at this point, I believe these kind of statements serve a purpose in fighting the enemy.
Announcing publicly could be to see what kind of noise comes out of Iran. We still arent sure all parties over there agree. So maybe this is his way of getting info out, and seeing who replies

If this had all happened under any other president- republican or democrat- Trump would have criticized it loudly and often.

Blah blah blah. Heard it all before. I’m a Trump supporter through and through but no one believes this shite anymore. Don’t stop bombing them till a month AFTER they beg you to stop. THEN and only then will any “peace deal” happen. He’s just giving them time to move shite around to new hiding places.
