I wonder if people realize that the B-52 can self-designate with sniper pod for laser-guided bombs and also drop jdams which are GPS guided munitions so therefore you're not going to see Arc light strikes like Vietnam in Iran.

I think most people think of old Vietnam era movies and carpet bombing.
I'm no military expert by a long shot, but I do read an article once in a while. Just doing this I realized almost all modern warfare has some "smarts" involved with their weapons. I'm guessing that an extra 20-30k dollar add on to a dumb bomb would increase killing and damage efficiency and probably result in less bombs being dropped to destroy targets. But no expert for sure.

Which begs the question...why can't Detroit build a car to last that long?
Oh, I don't know......if I had the budget for maintenance similar to what theB-52 has, I think I could keep a mid 50s Chevy road worthy into the 2050s.
They also may be using those strap on guidance systems that make a dumb bomb kinda smart.

guess what I thought of during the nanosecond I first saw this

Major Kong? That's what I first thought.
Could Major TJ Kong be far behind.

B-52s flying overhead uncontested has to be a morale breaker for even the most Gung ho IRGC members..
That's a Bingo. Cheeseburger Eddie, food smuggling 101.
Thanks

Gee wiz. He wasn't smuggling, he was stealing.
Smuggling food is like sneaking Whataburgers into a fat farm. Stuffing Spaghetti-Os in your pants and walking out without paying is stealing.
It doesn't say a GD thing about shoe laces either, but I bet the first pair of boots comes with laces. After you break the first set of laces you probably need to purchase a new set of laces or the boots don't operate very well, you Nitwit.

Here, I did a Brave search for you, Someone built a lot of data centers so you can go argue with an AI computer. I'll cease from here. Thank you.

https://search.brave.com/search?q=does+NATO+has+a+3+million+man+army%3F&summary=1&conversation=08ce8ccf9ec8a5bbc545068c5ea2dca0d620

NATO does not have a single, unified army of 3 million personnel, but it collectively draws on the military forces of its 32 member nations.

The combined active military personnel across all NATO countries totaled approximately 3.44 million in 2025, according to Statista.
The United States alone accounts for about 1.33 million active troops, making it the largest contributor.
While NATO does not maintain its own standing army, it has a permanent, integrated military command structure (SHAPE) that coordinates and deploys forces from member states during operations.
In response to heightened tensions, NATO has activated a 300,000-strong rapid reaction force on high alert, designed to respond swiftly to threats, particularly from Russia.
Thus, while NATO does not have a single 3 million-man army, its collective military strength exceeds 3.4 million active personnel, making it the largest military alliance in the world.
Unless a a chunk of those votes were republicans crossing over to vote for Crockett. Lower republican turnout, increase democratic turnout.

Need to find an exit poll over this, as inaccurate as that may be.

TX has about 10 years left before democrats control it.

I've been hearing this for over 40 years. I guess it might come true sometime.

I already said I’d give you this one.

Then why don't you drop it and STFU? You just like to argue, whether you know anything or not.

:blah:
Maybe you should just stay home, I don't know. This seems to cause you much anxiety and stress.

Suburban women are going to eat up his twisted version of Christianity.

Maybe, Maybe. Counter point might be,....White suburban women went for Beto and his slick handsome talk, Now they're going to fall in love with another slick talker, AND embrace Christianity as if they didn't previously. Will the Blue hair, hardware in the face embrace Christianity? They embraced Beto last election and still lost. Point is, The Dems already have the white suburban women.

This is a non-presidential election year. The 2024 election was a DJ Trump hating year for Dem turnout, yet Cruz won 53.05% of the vote (5,990,741 votes) compared to Allred's 44.56%.

Maybe you're prediction is correct, I disagree. I mostly disagree because of Texas population growth being from transplants fed up with liberal policies in other states. We'll see if Texas is trending purple or more red.

We'll see i a few months.

I suspect Trump will throw his weight behind Paxton in the runoff.

If that happens, Cornyn can kiss the baby.
Talarico can too.

I guess all the posters here are from Texas. If not, I don't understand the immense interest.

Those posters here that are not from Texas are concerned about Cornyn's "RINO Tendencies". That's what I gather from multiple posts. :dunno:

Wesley Hunt’s endorsement will not have an impact. He was simply there to steal votes from Paxton.

I understand.

quote:

Voters who didn’t like Cornyn but didn’t like Paxton went to Hunt. Most will hold their nose and vote for Paxton.

OK, so Hunt voters didn't like either Cornyn or Paxton. What happens if Hunt comes out tomorrow and says that he endorses Cornyn and wants his voters to get out in the run-off and go vote for Cornyn. Wouldn't those Hunt voters be just as likely to hold their nose and vote for Cornyn?

I guess you're saying the hatred for Cornyn overrides whatever Hunt says. That could be possible, I don't deny it. I would be interested in polling of Hunt voters. Do you actually know any polling information on Hunt, or are you just winging it? I also understand if you're winging it and going on gut instinct.
Dems will have the higher turnout. I'd also guess it's a higher percentage of their voters as there are more Reps in Texas than Dems.

1) We don't know however, how many Reps crossed over to vote for Crockett.

2) Whoever purchases Hunt's endorsement (Cornyn or Paxton) will win the Senate spot for Texas in the General election.

3) Was Hunt's majority the black voter? If yes the Hunt endorsement may not be of as much of a value as that voter demographic probably won't show for primary run off or general election. Need to know who were Hunt's voters? This may be a bogus factor as a black Republican is probably less influenced by skin color than a black Dem.

4) If Crockett throws a fit and shows sour grapes attitude, will as many that voted for her show up in the general?
