I don’t even think a 45 year old is solidly in GenX. Some sources consider the dividing line between Millennial and GenX to be the 1980ish.

In 2026, Boomers comprise less than 40% of House, however, Boomers are still the majority in the Senate. Boomers did not become a majority in Congress until 1998 and in 2026 they are not the majority in Congress.
So, in the big picture of DC politics Boomers are about done and most of the shite they get blamed for such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. were already in place before they got political power. As a matter of fact, most of the current unsustainable social entitlement programs were brought into existence in the 1960's by the Democratic Socialists.
