re: Landry/Murrill press conference Wednesday at 2pm

Murrill's press conference linked on page 1 outlined multiple possible crimes and ethical violations. Those were some of them
More mismanagement to the detriment of the taxpayers
Look at the link on page 1 of this thread beginning at 24:52
There is a lot of exposure here - some folks have actually committed crimes here, and there will be charges, disbarment and judicial disciplinary proceeding, and probably a federal civil rights violation
City or state will have to pay 200k in Murrill's attorneys fees

Murrill just said DA Williams is the culprit
Looks like Murrill thinks Williams (Orleans DA) is the culprit
Look at the link above around 24:52

After confirming the charges were dismissed, Murrill issued a statement that said, “This case should have NEVER been started because there was NO crime. This outcome will not deter my efforts to get to the bottom of this. The irresponsible and illegal actions that led to this abuse of the criminal justice system need to never happen again. I’ll have much more to say this afternoon.”
Fox said it would be 2 pm

my bad
You have to be joking. Where did the grand jury get that law citation? That law was passed after the Civil War to keep the democrats from ignoring the Reconstruction Republicans who were in office. Somehow the grand jury coincidentally came up with it "on their own"? You can't be that stupid/naive.
Murrill knew she was the subject of a grand jury investigation well before then. Are you contending that Moreno did not know what the grand jury was doing after she cited Murrill's violation of the statute.

Moreno is the one on her knees now dumbass
And there is no freaking universe in which Moreno "didn't know about it" beforehand. Hell, Murrill knew about it a week in advance thanks to the illegal leaks.
Everybody but the mayor of N.O. knew about it, after she makes a video accusing the A G of breaking the law and citing the specific statute under which Murrill should be charged?

It seems apparent that someone directed the grand jury to apply the law Moreno cited to charge Murrill. The grand jury didn't "come up with the indictment on their own."
Moreno had no knowledge of the indictment!

Here she is citing the statute before the indictment, that somehow the grand jury just coincidentally came up on their own with later to indict Murrill.
Now she's begging Bollinger for a meeting with Landry to save her arse.

I assume that scout has several national championships
So now New Orleans includes Jefferson and St. Tammany? I would argue these Parishes are more of an economic driver than Orleans Parish. And I can't tell you how many Orleans residents leave the city to shop in Jefferson.
Everybody in the State knew about it due to the illegal leaks. Which is one of the grounds for quashing it. She certainly did not try to stop it, or issue any denunciation after the fact.
But at least we finally beat medicare
