Have only seen clips, I view too much footage coming out of that bloodbath in Ukraine.

People hope and assume SS uses super high tech jammers, but 5 days ago they couldn't get a scrawny shooter off the roof for 20 minutes and lost sight of him after he was deemed suspicious an hour earlier. Doesn't inspire great deal of confidence.

I assume president gets a kicked up level of security, but I don't know if they have the drone thing covered. It's a new evolving military development and application and things are pretty loose in terms of defense and application.

Weapons are only as effective as the DEI hire using them. We didn’t need drones or jammers to stop this doofus. But, to someone’s point, outdoor events should be over.

Trump gains nothing by continuing these big outdoor events. I think the main issue now is you probably have a bunch of wanna-bees that didn't know how easy it could be.

I regularly watch videos of drone attacks in Ukraine.

It’s horrifying.
Someone will use one on Trump I’m afraid.

Don't be fooled and believe the incompetence story. They are high speed at enabling an assassination attempt by the cia/fbi.

A report from Ukrainians came out stating that FPVs do have a failure dud rate not shown on those videos, they're about 30-50% due to Russian jamming/failure to detonate/etc... (not sure about Russian effectiveness, but I guess it's higher b/c Ukraine is low on jammers).

Still, 50% failure rate if two perps launch FPVs simultaneously there's a good chance one of them will connect.

FPVs are absolutely a security problem- they move very fast, hard to spot in advance, and can strike a target without direct line of sight- hell you can even be sitting inside a car or a building and guide it.

fricking yesterday my realtor came over with a drone and did aerial footage of my house that I’m putting on the market. My realtor was more prepared for this shooting over the Secret Service. Un-fricking-believable.

Likely not used by the SS in the event if one is in the air then they know immediately it's not a friendly

I remember playing Metal Gear Solid 2 and thinking how futuristic UAVs (drones with cameras and/or guns on them) were.

These days they have them with fricking missiles attached.

I think this is the first time a public as a whole is legitimately questioning if a government agency tried to allow an assassination by intentionally doing nothing.

There are always small percentages of the population that jump into various scenarios of inside jobs etc, but the evidence is so damning pointing to inside working within SS to allow this negligence to happen.

Starting with leaving that roof unattended and someone on the security detail "not showing up" that has a direct shot at the podium, to moment he was spotted with range finder looking at snipers, to 20 minutes on the roof to allowing him set up and take shots at the president. That's too many errors for it to be "incompetence".

I have been worrying about this from the time I saw how incompetent our Secret Service was Saturday night.

Imagine if Iran really wanted to target one of our people? Or Ukraine for a false flag, etc.

Nothing would have stopped them last Saturday night and that is terrifying.

Why would anyone believe they wouldn't afford Trump the best protection??????
Tell me I'm wrong.

You fricked up your negatives, so what you said is wrong. But what you were trying to say is correct. We know that they sacrificed the efficacy of Trump's security detail so that Jill's would be stronger.

Having 1 small surveillance drone with particular security-designated color scheme would unlikely be confused with another style drone especially if that drone is carrying any sort of ammunition/devices. Both in the look and noise level.

Worst case scenario they shoot their own drone...

The nite after the shooting, a former SS Agent said that the agents had "multiple" drone jammers on the ground but none in the air. This is pure incompetence. The surrounding area around the rally site could have easily been covered by one drome. This was not a huge area. This was confirmed by another former agent the next day.
