I think they are looking to shutdown Epic Fury and try to hand this off to a broader coalition with a different name to continue the fight under a different name with US involvement and backing. Call it Operation open Seas. I’m wondering if that is why they keep teasing that Epic Fury is winding down while at the same time building up forces for what appears to be a different mission set than an air campaign.
Kinda like Desert Storm and then Desert Shield.

I guess the thirty plus thousand people already murdered by the regime were the only people who wanted to end the regime. The Iranian people are definitely not cut from the same cloth as the people who founded our country.

Seems like a negotiated end is not happening. Time for more military action.

Trump just stated yesterday that Iran gave him (or the US, hard to distinguish) a very expensive gift. So he knows he’s dealing with the right people…

We've told them to stay put.
THEY HAVE NO WEAPONS. They are TOTALLY disarmed. See what happened in January? See what happened on October 7 to the Israelis who had no weapons?
Why we are not smuggling rifles to them is beyond me.

This is what must happen. Surely this will occur in the weeks and months ahead. I think that any uprising in Iran is many months away, if at all.

If we drop the Airborne at Natanz and Istafan to hunt for Uranium and take their ports to control the oil, then the CIA can distribute weapons and organize a resistance and sabotage campaign from there.

Surely the CIA and Mossad have stocked some caches around somewhere and have been feeling out some Artesh officers that are willing to take their squads into the fight, right? You wouldn't really have to train those guys on small arms too much i wouldn't think. The average Iranian civilian would need to be trained on basic operation of rifles and stuff. At least the Artesh soldiers have been taught how to operate an AK, surely.

I think Trump is making a mistake sending differing messages. He told them at the beginning to stay put and we would let them know when. And he told them if they don't act they may not have another chance for decades.
Now Trump is saying a move by the people will be a massacre. Trump can't expect these people to play this "art of the deal" crap with their lives. He needs to quit with the mixed messages if he really expects the people to rise up.

I'm sure there are probably quite a few veterans in the population.
Probably one reason they are going after athletes. Natural leaders .

Iran requires 18-24 months of compulsory service in the Army, police, or guard, for pretty much every male upon his 18th birthday.
No shortage of people with at least some knowledge on how to handle themselves.

Iran has mandatory military conscription for all males at 18.

He said they’d know when the time comes. No need to ask them to do it. Would be a bad look if they don’t try when asked, try but fail, try but succeed and also get slaughtered in the process. It will either happen or it won’t no matter what. Let the prince call for it. They aren’t able to get much info from the outside anyway.

Because he is not ready for them to rise up yet. Can you not figure that out?

This is a link to a website managed by US Army Special Forces Soldiers. Unconventional Warfare is their specialty.

IMHO, it is now high time for The Quiet Professionals to get to work in Iran with some most excellent Unconventional Warfare.

In the video briefing, U.S. Navy Adm. Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command, delivers an update on **Operation Epic Fury**, which began on February 28, 2026, at the direction of the President. He states that the core mission is to eliminate Iran's ability to project meaningful power beyond its borders by destroying its offensive missile capabilities, missile production facilities, naval forces, and other security infrastructure that pose imminent threats, including to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Cooper emphasizes the operation's focus on precision strikes to neutralize these dangers while highlighting the involvement of over 50,000 American service members executing the campaign with unmatched reach and lethality.
Adm. Cooper details significant military achievements on day 22 of operations, noting that U.S. and partner forces have conducted over 8,000 combat flights, achieving air superiority over Iran. Key accomplishments include the destruction of thousands of Iranian missiles and advanced drones, the near-total elimination of Iran's navy (with more than 130 vessels struck, described as the largest such naval neutralization since World War II), and the neutralization of tactical fighters and high-volume missile/drone launch capabilities. He cites specific examples, such as a record-length U.S. Army precision artillery strike and the bombing of an underground coastal facility using multiple 5,000-pound bombs to eliminate anti-ship cruise missiles, mobile launchers, and related intelligence sites threatening international shipping.
The commander reports that Iran's combat capabilities are in steady decline as U.S. offensive operations intensify, with an extensive integrated air and missile defense network—supported by Gulf partners—successfully intercepting thousands of Iranian drone and missile attacks. Cooper praises the professionalism and resolve of U.S. warfighters, stresses the need to maintain relentless momentum without pause, and expresses pride in the team's performance while underscoring the importance of partnership and steady execution to complete the remaining objectives.
