The fact that you use the word “normie” tells me everything I need to know about how much of a man you are.

There are only 2 choices that matter and one of them is always lockstep awful.

I vote for policies.

Is voting for a third option and getting one of the two not also pretending like you have a real choice?

Because nothing holds your Political Party accountable like blindly voting for them no matter what they do

I have a friend who has always voted Republican but claims to be “nuanced” and won’t vote for Ed Gallerein in my district, and is voting Democrat to prove some sort of point that he thinks is somehow going to be proved. Something about Israel or whatever. I have no idea why Israel affects his life so much that he even worries about them, but it’s a big enough issue that he is voting for a Democrat because of it.
My choice for R for US Senate in Michigan is a GOPe MIC whore who can’t expand the surveillance state fast enough. If he wins, he will probably win three terms and shovel money to Ukraine and Israel for the next 18 years while sucking off the FBI and CIA. So, what’s the point? I’d be lying if I said the socialist Muslim with some anti-establishment traits isn’t tempting. But, I will probably just stay home.

So you recommend total ignorance when you go in the booth? Is having party affiliation after their names acceptable? Or.......is that too much information?

If you think you have a real choice, you’re pretending to have a real choice in American elections. The best and brightest do not enter the political realm. Politics is for liers , crooks and thieves.

Disagree
Vivek in Ohio is a perfect example especially if they keep a republican super majority. The GOP can be taught lessons without losing too much

Sorry, you either vote for Republican or Democrat. There is no middle ground option

If not, then vote Republican. Even if it’s a RINO dork. You need the coalition, if for any reason to caucus and they won’t automatically vote against your appointments and main agenda issues.
There's no question the nation exists in a very uncertain time politically speaking. Unfortunately with a political system that's dominated by two parties you have to make a decision on which party presents the least potential to screw the American people.
With that said it would take a complete moron or a DSA loyalist to not understand the DSA is a far greater threat to the constitutional republic and American people than America First/MAGA.

People who think politics is some sort of performative act seem like children.
At the end of the day, you are left with two choices in American elections. One of those will be utter and complete dogshit. The other one is often pretty shitty, but will never be as bad.
Pretending it is anything else is little more than performative play acting.
Weeee

There is a chance the Republican Party could be a decent and respectful party for the American people, unfortunately it will never happen if the Bushies and neocons are not purged from the party. In some regard the Bushies and neocons have more in common with the DSA than America First because they both believe in NWO Globalism .......which brings open borders and chaos.

OP mentions retards in thread title then uses the subject of the OP to sound like a retard for 6 paragraphs.

The time to have that fight is the primaries not the general election. I fail to understand how surrendering and giving the Democrats power will ultimately benefit the right or the country as a whole. The Democrats don’t hide who they are or what they’re about: they’re not gonna get you cheaper houses, gas or groceries

I’ve been voting against marxism as much as possible for decades.
Occasionally there’s a GOP candidate who looks like they’re worth voting for, other than as an obstacle to the marxists. More often they turn out to be collaborators with the Marxists.

Sure man. I know. Here in Iowa, if I vote for the candidate I prefer instead of the Dem or the GOP candidate, I give the Dems a 1/2,046,584th better chance of winning
Or
I gove them a big zero better chance since it is the candidate's job to get my vote. It isn't my job to just give it to them. My vote was never a guarantee for the GOP.
Your whole premise is sky screaming.

Many folks disagree with your premise that whether you like it or not, either the Democrat or the Republican candidate, as those candidates exist on election day, one of the two WILL win. And that the inner-party “principles” struggle should at least temporarily fall by the wayside, and as a Republican or at least right-leaning voter one shouldn’t even have a question about what the task/goal has NOW become: to keep the worst possible situation from occurring.
It’s beyond comprehension that so many amongst us are so offended by that notion. Tell you what, guy, those who are: pay attention to who they are because they are the ones who you shouldn’t waste a literal second of your time on - chances are they’re not comprehending anyway.
