It's just as important to straighten the knee as it is to bend the knee.
Need to have PT set up the very next day after getting out of the hospital.
PT needs to be rigorous and thorough. If you do not do the exercises then scar tissue will build, and they will need to put you under again and rebend that knee to break up the scar tissue.
It was well worth it and everyone's recovery is different, but if they work hard they can get back to things sooner rather than later.
Ice machine that circulates cold water is magical. Home therapy is just as important if not more important.
They should administer a hip blocker right after the surgery that blocks any pain and you should use that to start working the knee. The Blocker wears off though. PT and you should work the scar from the surgery as well.
