Reminds me of the story of the Lexington sinking in the Coral Sea battle: As the Lexington was doomed and the order to abandon ship was given, some of the sailors took off their shoes and lined them up on the edge of the ship while they sat there and gorged themselves on ice cream from the ship's freezers while awaiting rescue from the accompanying destroyers.

What is strange is the unnamed sailors wife was already named. Unless it is a different wife.

My wife had lunch this week with a Republican high school classmate, whose son serves on the Lincoln. She said that the conditions on the vessel are awful and even worse than reported…

Fortunately (unfortunately?) for his stupid arse, the cord was longer than the drop and he just ended up breaking both legs.

I’ll bet that he and about 90% of his crew try to get lifetime maximum disability payments. Why do you think enrollment has skyrocketed? Ticket to money without having to work for life.
