Before Tuesday yes there is a lot of truth to that and one of the reasons Trump is even more responsible. He’s created the environment where loyalty and arse Kissinger to him is expected no questions asked, and anyone who dares disagree he comes after and gets primaried. This created the completely weak and ineffectual congress that we had. R's controlled it yay but they weren’t governing and abdicated all of their responsibilities to the executive branch and we had a government ruled by one person via EOs.

The country was sick of that, of MAGA, of Trump, of corruption, of eroding decorum in government, of everything and they let us know. So after Tues Trump is toxic af and unlike previously being with him is detrimental.

Anyone tied to maga or Trump in late 2026 had no shot to be elected to be a local councilman much less the presidency, I would say the new appointees after these resignations better think long and hard about what they're committing themselves to

Massie has alot credibility with i dependents.A potus and vp can't be from same state. Vance is known for hiding behind the curtain while this Iran debacle is going on.

None of this is true.

So are we all just going to ignore that Rubio has spent an entire career being aligned mostly with the NeoCon War Pigs?

I'm not saying I wouldn't vote for the guy over ANY Dim, but is a spade not a spade? Am I the only one left who fully believes that Ron Desantis is the absolute best choice for 2028 as of now?

JD doesn’t really have that option
Yes he does because he already questioned out loud whether or not he wanted to run for President in 2028. He has young kids and one on the way if not just here already. He is young enough to wait it out and weigh his options later.

You really are going to act like Iran isn’t a war?

We are dropping arse loads of bombs and for whatever reason are navy isn’t capable of taking the straight. It’s a war and it is not America first.

Iran has screamed for years they hate us and had done exactly zero on our soil. The war was a broken campaign promise and a stupid unforced mistake.

Going after Iran wasn’t America first it was Israel first.

It also drove prices of everything back up because fuel cost went up.

The neocons got trump to come off his platform, I put that at the fat feet of wiles

Wouldn't one of them legally have to not be from Florida?

No, but it puts them at a disadvantage. Electors can't vote for a president AND a VP who are both from their own state.

So if you don't win by a big enough margin, you end up sending the VP choice to the Senate.

We have idiots on this board that forget about Rubio's past and worse, can't see he was a big reason why Trump pissed away a majority by going to war.

The same indies that didn’t come save Massie in his own election?

Massie has some good ideas, he is terrible on executing them and he didn’t get people out to vote for him.

He is a lot like Rand Paul, he is hard to take serious because of how he looks

How do you explain all the candidates he hand-picked and strongly supported that lost? Both now and in the past as well, because this week wasn't a new thing in that regard.

I don’t disagree with you at all in your points, I’m not the 18-40 crowd that doesn’t vote though. They’re the ones who are most obsessed with the Epstein files and post about Massie on the right in that demographic. They were the most vocal about his loss, even though they didn’t vote for him

I'm in that 18-40 crowd and outside of this board (and mostly DeBoar on this board) nobody is talking about Massie or gives two shits about him.

Your imagined importance of Massie is vastly overblown, but you have had a weird fixation with him for a while now. There's a reason he lost his primary, and it isn't because he's popular or likeable.

No way Desantis attaches his wagon to him of all people.

Listen to Rubio take a question about the current situation in the Persian Gulf and what a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran could mean to the region and world. The whole Q&A is pretty good but Rubio really explains the importance of Iran never having any type of weapons of mass destruction.
