re: Astonishing Graphic - How couples met 1930 to 2024
Posted by RazorBroncs on 2/23/26 at 4:30 pm to tiggerthetooth
My wife and I went to high school together, although we didn't really interact back in those days because she's 3 years younger than me. Despite that we went to a really small school so we both knew OF each other.
15 years later I'm attending church with my mom and other family members, when I see her a couple pews back and recognize her - attending alone. She had gone from mildly attractive in high school to an under the radar hottie, the best kind.
I guess God spoke out to me and told me to go sit with this beautiful lonely woman that I used to know so she wouldn't be alone, and we struck up a small conversation. I couldn't get her off my mind and a couple days later I found her on Facebook and asked her if she'd like to go on a date sometime after numerous messages back and forth catching up.
Our first date was in a bar/restaurant a couple blocks away from her apartment. It went extremely well and felt so natural, I literally knew she was "the one" right then. Neither of us even made it home before calling and saying we want to see each other again soon.
So I'm not sure what box you'd check when it came to "how we met." You could say school technically, or church technically, or online technically, or bar/restaurant.

Even if the act itself isn't illegal by the books, do we really want a dude that would frick roadkill just out there in society? I'm sure this is tame compared to some of the other shite he hasn't been caught in the act doing

The US Special Forces alone would absolutely obliterate the Cartel with a quickness. Doesn’t matter how spread out they are. Intel would identify every top leader easy. They aren’t worried about the cartel soldiers. Let the Mexican military handle the scraps
I'm convinced some of you retards think "the cartel" is a workplace that has a company uniform and reports to work Monday through Friday from 9-5
Anybody that thinks it's just as simple as using "military technology" to identify and take out tens of thousands of people at all levels - from your common street dealer to the chief of police on the cartel payroll, to corrupt government officials - has never been military or law enforcement. This is not something you can just "eliminate targets" your way out of.
Our best defense that would put a serious strain on cartel operations would be to lock down our borders and coasts at all costs. The Southern border would need to be impenetrable and coasts heavily guarded with serious firepower. You take away the American drug market and that puts a bigger damper on the cartels than killing 100s of their leaders.

Is the Mexican economy so bad that evil serial killer levels a cruelty while selling drugs is a better option than getting a normal job?
Yes? It definitely pays better.
As long as there's massive demand for drugs in the US and Canada and elsewhere in the Caribbean/South America, cartels will form and exist. You can't just kill the new leaders over and over and over on foreign soil until they just give up and stop the very lucrative drug trafficking business.
Guys in this thread acting like it would be a piece of cake are highly uninformed or just not thinking it all the way through

It wouldn't be easy or quick. There's over 10k members of this cartel alone, but they're not even as big as Senaloa. They're also spread out over every Mexican state and city and have protection from some local governments, military members, and officials. It would be almost impossible to identify every member, stalk their locations, and take them out without killing a LOT of innocent civilians.

Oh no, you mean you'll get your own skin on yourself? The same shite that's all over your body (dead cells included) every second of every day? How could anyone bare such a disgusting thought!
But to answer the thread, I have a two towel system. I have my shower towel that I'll typically use 3-5 times, and then it gets demoted to the floor towel for stepping out of the shower to dry off and drying feet. When the floor towel gets replaced by the now-demoted shower towel, it goes to the hamper. Everyone moves down a spot.

What a coincidence, there's roughly 330,000 things I can think of that I'd rather spend $330k on than a Ford Mustang
And yes, I realize it's pretty much only a Mustang in the sense that Ford named it that and it roughly has the same silhouette. But $330k is legit supercar territory, I'm buying something with a little more pedigree like a Ferrari or Lamborghini

There's really no suggestion, law, or amendment in the universe that can prevent anyone of any mental capacity from owning guns. There's so many ways to get your hands on one it doesn't even matter what kind of legislation you throw out there.
It's already against the law for felons to carry, and how many of them are able to get their hands on guns? Even some serious firepower
There's no law one could put on the books to stop someone from acquiring a gun who really wants one. The best we can do is limit new sales to flagged individuals as much as possible and maybe even encourage upstanding citizens to carry more. The cats already out of the bag, it's time to get creative

Good Lord, it's becoming a stereotype at this point. Pray for those people killed, even this mentally ill psychopath. What kind of unhinged shitbird adult starts shooting wildly with dozens of kids present? Even if it was a "family affair"
The only silver lining I can see here is that maybe some future school shooter out there will give pause and think "if I do this they might think I'm a crazy tranny loon in the media" and put his gun back in the safe
They might end up doing us a favor by dissuading young boys with mental issues from being lumped in with them

You must be 12. Calling a car "hot" back in those days was a term for a modded production car, almost like a sleeper except it might have the outward appearance of being modded. It's a pretty common term.
I always think it's funny when someone tries to talk shite on here and looks even dumber than their target in the process

Just pay it dude, it's not worth having that worry hanging over you every day. How much is a parking ticket these days anyway, like 25-50 bucks?
If you don't pay it you will absolutely create much worse problems for yourself, even if it's 5 years down the road when you get pulled over for something else. Don't be stupid

re: Help me figure out what’s going on with my Lab
Posted by RazorBroncs on 2/13/26 at 5:58 pm to RobertFootball
Labs, especially feisty ones, are notorious for getting a little too rowdy and twisting their stomachs and/or intestines. But there's usually pretty obvious signs outwardly and their downturn happens within hours. Doesn't sound like the case here so much, but maybe yours is minor or just a particularly tough dog.
My bet is on eating something fibrous like a sock, towel, rope, etc. that has caused a blockage. They'll usually try to eat grass and drink a ton of water in this case

Pretty sure his girlfriend already knew about the cheating, which is why it's been the "worst week of his life." He isn't just admitting it on global TV coverage like some are acting here.
Doesn't make it much better, but she's not just finding out about this. He's trying a last-ditch effort to smooth things over AFTER he's already been caught. Men everywhere recognize this ploy
All for a 6 month relationship? Just cut your losses dudeson

They weren't even "doing this for kids" 25+ years ago in the 90s. My parents took us (from Arkansas) every year for about a decade, but the adults got so bad about bringing ladders and step ladders and setting them up right in front of us, even though we'd been there for hours waiting in anticipation, that we quit going altogether.
There were times it legitimately got scary as a kid with adults almost trampling you over cheap plastic bullshite. Those will forever be my memories of Mardi Gras.
From the sounds of it, it's only gotten worse
re: What does the OT consider a “good” salary?
Posted by RazorBroncs on 2/9/26 at 6:05 pm to sidewalkside
I'll be honest just because I don't give a shite about you people.
Just about anywhere posters here are commonly from/are living currently - over 100k is a "good" salary and offers them a comfortable life in an area that has a relatively low cost of living. If you and your spouse make over $150k per year together, you're basically upper middle class in most of the regions represented on this website.
You'll have a bunch of idiots with little man syndrome and fake egos trying to impress strangers on an anonymous message board trying to argue that isn't true, but we all know
