Surprised you say this instead of “let it play out”

If LSU has dirt, they may have to use ALL of it now

At some point the people in charge of making the decisions at LSU have to weigh the potential PR cost of going down this path as well.

You're actively looking for a new head coach. Dragging your previous coach's name and reputation through the mud in a highly publicized manner - simply because you don't want to pay the full buyout you agreed to in his contract - would severely weaken your own chances at hiring a quality coach and tarnish LSU's reputation as well

Legitimately explain to me how this works when your ADs official stance is that they never formally fired BK because Woodward didn't have the authority, therefore its all null and void?

Is he technically still the coach? Y'all seem to be focusing on the personal attacks to avoid the actual clusterfrick of a situation unfolding, which is understandable when you have no defense of it

One of these…

ALL of these aren't completely screwing up their coaching search, you mean

You seem a little scared bro. I forgot Arkansas even had an opening.

Scared of what? We gonna fire our interim coach BP?

Just enjoying someone else being a clusterfrick for once

You seem to be the scared one

I’ve now completely given up hope on getting even a halfway decent coach now. Just PR blunder after PR blunder. Quite sad to witness. Complete self-sabotage.

Sumrall should probably be treated as the home run hire now. Who would want to come to this circus if they had options?
LSU's stance is that he wasn't formally fired because Woodward didn't have the authority, so isn't he technically still the coach?

How does that work?

And since he wasn't formally fired and LSU is now moving to fire him for cause, it requires a 7 day notice and an opportunity for BK to fight these allegations in writing. Therefore meaning BK is still the coach at LSU, since LSU informed him TODAY that they are moving to fire him for cause.

Not only a mess, but if BK wanted to be a huge dick he could technically be on the sidelines Saturday as the HC.

As an outside fan, dear god I hope it happens

Yikes

Please LSU, keep this up. No way this clusterfrick backfires in addition to the damage already done by your governor and temporary AD, you're doing great!

Signed,

Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida

That looks like the coach from Friday night lights series

Nah man, I don't see it

re: It better not be Sumrall

The rest of us would very much appreciate if you'd leave Sumrall for the taking

Thank you for your attention to this matter

Saban is regularly consulted by programs with coaching openings for advice. He met with a group of boosters and board members at Arkansas just a couple weeks ago in regards to advising with the opening there.

Even IF your AD and whoever else met with him last night (not confirmed by any means), it wouldn't be unusual and the most likely reason was seeking his advice.

Saban has been confirmed to be heavily involved in coaching openings at other programs right now in an advisory role. He met with some boosters and board members to advise on the Arkansas opening a couple weeks ago.

This is something he regularly does and has done for multiple programs this year and in previous years

Take this for what it's worth. Just because Saban may or may not be meeting with "your people" doesn't mean jack shite. That's even if OP and others claiming Saban is the hire aren't just trolling or seeking attention

It’s Drinkwitz.

To UF

His assistants are already telling friends and family that they expect to be in FL next year.

VT and Franklin are pretty much done behind the scenes

ESPN - garbage list. Arkansas is a terrible job because it is lower tier SEC. You have to resurrect the program from the grave

Arkansas also has a cadre of some of the richest boosters in the country, is in one of the consistently top ranked places to live, has facilities that match or beat anyone, and just gave their coach with a losing conference record almost 6 years to figure it out.

It's a better job than you're making it out to be. But yes, it does have its limitations

LSU - Sumrall
Auburn - Durkin
Florida - Drinkwitz
Arkansas - Golesh/Silverfield
Mizzou - Golesh/Silverfield
VT - Franklin
Penn St. - Hartline

Arkansas - Gus

I hope all the mildly bad things happen to you. You stub your toe, hit your head on a cabinet door, open the fridge and find out you're out of ketchup after you just made fries, your bed sheet comes untucked from the bottom of the mattress in the middle of the night, your dog throws up on your living room rug, and you have a bout of diarrhea at work tomorrow

Lane could really put an end to all of this and just sign the extension.

He and his agent are doing the smart thing and waiting to see what kind of offers he gets. Even if he plans on staying, he'll be able to adjust that extension accordingly

Another shitty TFH thread

Dude needs the OweO treatment

Sumrall was at one point as well. That was before LSU and Auburn opened though

My brother in Christ, stop making dumbass threads

Durkin, Sumrall, and Silverfield have to be the 3 REAL favorites, right?
