Big dick Ron, easily as the best and most deep record of being successful. He will need a VP though that can make up a strong modern ground game and probably going to have to distance from Israel to be palatable to the majority.

The problem is the best two VPs are currently tied to Trump and one of them just makes no logistical sense to bring on as VP

Trump is going to be so screwed the next two years.

You’d think actually getting shot in the head and another possible attempt would’ve made him uphold his promises.

Alas, his narcissism was his undoing and feel zero sympathy for his upcoming plight. And it will be bad.

Vance and Rubio wouldn’t be Ron’s VP picks. All 3 are likely to have their own campaigns. Ron will probably choose someone like Massie. Although I haven’t really seen the two together like they were when Ron ran last.

Rubio/DeSantis ticket.

I got the sense that DeSantis won’t run based on his comments yesterday about how it’ll take 6-8 years for the GOP to recover from Tuesday night. I think he sees the writing on the wall for 2028 in that it could be ugly just like Tuesday.

Apparently Rubio has hinted to some in the media that he won’t run. I’m not sure if I buy that, though.

But if neither runs I think it’s because they see the writing on the wall and would prefer that Vance be the sacrificial lamb. And honestly, if 2028 looks bad, then Vance deserves to be that sacrificial lamb. He’s really not that impressive at all, so you don’t waste a good candidate in a cycle where you can’t win.

Isn't Vance is in charge of the Fraud Task Force? He has a chance to make some waves and stay in front of the crowd if he doubles down on that.

Exactly. And regarding Vance, I doubt DeSantis forgets Vance being a fricking RINO snake and supporting the leftist attacks against him in the primary.

Do you think he would be better served if he sticks around and stays close to Trump while trying to launch a presidential campaign? After what we just witnessed this week, any republican with presidential aspirations has no choice but to distance themselves from Trump.

Massie would be a terrible pick and them all trying to get president wouldn’t stop one from joining the other.

The problem is 2/3 best people the right has are tied to a disaster admin right now. Rubio can resign, JD is going to have to hope the Dems go after Trump and gets the controls while making sure he doesn’t egg it on publicly.

Ron is probably in the best position, not in this admin, has the record of success to back him, I’d say ground game and debating can be coached.

JD probably is the best podcast/off cuff speaker of the bunch. He seems to understand the modern landscape and what will hold attention

It'll definitely get ugly if Republicans don't purge Trump. The more he's around, the worse things will get.

Nobody with Trump connections has a chance.

Everyone may as well get ready for the Massie '28 bumper stickers. Democrats will use hearings to excoriate and expose Trump and at the state level they will piss everyone off, especially in places like Texas. Perfect conditions for a guy like Massie. He can win in 28, Republicans can flip the House, not the Senate, and we would have gridlock and perhaps a chance for some sanity.

It would be great if Rubio could ditch the Republican Party altogether and run as a new conservative/America first party member. Unfortunately, there’s not enough time to make that happen in this cycle.

You are going to have a

Newsom and AOC/Buttigieg/Beshear ticket

and a

Vance and DeSantis/Rubio ticket

Completely agree.

He is tied closer to the Iran war than anyone other than Trump and maybe Hegseth. Given what happened two days ago the idea that the electorate will vote for yet another Republican with ties to Middle East wars is laughable at best.

Rubio would get absolutely crushed which means that exactly who the GOP is going to force down everyone’s throats because they don’t care about the people.

You also predicted Republican gains after midterms so maybe sit this one out, champ. You’re either compromised or have the political intuition of my 6 month old black lab.
