OK but that’s not a deadly sin.

But, morbid obesity is.

The leaks of “Kiffin considering staying in Oxford” were always going to happen before this game. Why not sign the extension right now?

Because doing that means people stop talking about you.
Does how Kiffen handled himself at UT suggest he would live by any verbal agreement?

Does how he is handling himself now suggest that he would?

LSU may be getting a good coach, but they’re also getting an unserious man. And he will treat LSU like he treated UT and OM if given the chance. He job will always be about “me”

Cocaine is a helluva high, and easy to fall in love with. Ultimately, it’s a bad idea.

two teams would basically be throwing in the towel on the season and both schools are happy with who they've got. nobody leaves alabama for penn state on free will

Ray Perkins left for the worst job in NFl
Bill Curry left for KY, and not KY basketball
Dennis Franisgonie left for tamu. tamu.
Mike Price threw himself at a transvestite just to get out of his contract.
Looks to me like he’s flying from Marco Island to Auburn to pick up Freeze, then flying to Starkville to drop him off to accept the open OM job after the Egg Bowl, then back to Gainesville with the former OM coach for the announcement

K..Great source...and tons of evidence. Honestly, quite comical in its lack of content, much like 98% of the rest of the posts in here lately.

Face facts: the only info you are willing to accept is “done deal!!!”. And, if it really was a done deal, there’d be no reason for you to be here screeching “at a lie! Ignore at crap an all”

You’re dealing with a petulant child who will change his mind and allegiance at the drop of a ball cap.

Gator Nation doesn't need you being our voice on here, I want to ban bet you on this hiring so we can keep your negativity in the Napier era. If we get Lane, theCAW is banned. If it's anyone else, I will be banned. What say you?

tCAW rejects your offer. His biceps, however, overrule that stance.
If the deficit is 2 Trillion, how will reducing revenues close that gap?

One of you is going to end up with a coach that is worse than Drinkwitz.

True. But they wont be wasting 12M a year on those Drinkwitzian results.

WE don’t need to save anything. Can yall stop this shite as if WE are paying a nickel for any of this.

You’re foregoing 54 million worth of talent.

LK would have said he's staying at OM

Most in his position would, but he’s not wired that way. Gotta make it dramatic, and make it “about me”.

Bama isn’t firing Deboer lol tater farmers are delusional

No one is saying they will. Ultimately that’s a schitt job, and coaches leave on their own, even after a winning season.

See three of the last seven coaches. All left after a loss to Auburn.
Durkin has two more years on his three year contract. He doesn’t have to stay, but if he goes then someone has to pay that.

It doesn’t seem to occur to many that maybe the new coach wants him to stay.

Your program is trash. Your school is Tel Aviv of the South.

Congrats
It could be that Sumrall is a decent and honorable guy and doesn’t want to walk on Tulane when he has worked them into position to win a conference championship and get in the CFP.

Head coach at a large school who improved each year
Never fired
Knows the south
Sought by peer schools for their HC job

Sumrall checks all those boxes except the first

I consider “large school” to be “ school eligible for the CFB Playoff”. So, yes.
No one east of the Mississippi wanted Harsin, or even knew who he was.

No one wanted Bowden, Auburn would never have considered the guy if his last name wasn’t Bowden. Hell, SAMFORD wouldn’t have considered the guy if his name wasn’t Bowden.

At the time Malzahn was hired, I recall only Vandy having a passing interest

When Auburn hires a guy with the criteria below, they coach at least a decade, and win a NC. It’s not hard.

Head coach at a large school who improved each year
Never fired
Knows the south
Sought by peer schools for their HC job

quote:

I think Golesh would be the perfect hire for them but wouldn't be surprised if they go with Durkin.

If they do that, then they would have, in six of the last eight coaching hires going back fifty years, hired a coach that no other school wanted.
