What’s crazy is LSU fans are acting like he shouldn’t get anything. Their Administration is literally trying to screw a former coach out of money he is entitled to. If this were Bama or UGA trying to screw over a coach they fired, LSU fans would be screaming from the rooftops, and rightfully so.
Zero. You can lose, but you can’t get embarrassed if you have more losses than other teams you’re competing with. They got destroyed by Georgia, which eliminated them. If they lost a one score game, things might be different.

The Buckeyes?

Huh? LSU fans were blowing Ohio State when they played ND in the Natty last year. Same when they played Texas in the semi-final. You would've thought they were life-long Buckeye fans.

ND lost two close games to top 15 teams.

They looked bad in both of those games, especially on Defense. They made Marcel Reed, who isn't even that good, look like Johnny Manziel, and they got torched by a true freshman WR and Carson Beck, who isn't anything special.

Auburn lost a bunch of 1 score games to good teams, so should we put them in as well?

If Kiffin causes Ole Miss to miss the playoffs due to CPC rule verbage..could he be Sued?

They don't even have to do that. They should just do what LSU is doing and make up a bunch of crap in a shady attempt to get out of paying money that is owed to their coach.

ND would whoop that Gump arse

I doubt it. They have perhaps the worst kicking situation in the country, their corners outside of Leonard Moore have been bad, and they can't run the ball on 3rd/4th and short.
The biggest advantage that LSU has over Florida is that there is no in-state competition for recruits. It's a borderline cult in Louisiana with how much in-state kids love LSU. Even if the program is a mess, they'll stay home because "dey LSU." Miles and Orgeron were morons, yet the vast majority of bluechip in-state recruits crawled over broken glass to play for them when there were more stable, and frankly, better programs that offered them.

Why won't Kiffin leave?

Because Ole Miss is going to make the playoff, they'll be favored in and likely win their first game, and their season won't end until early January. It would be stupid for the AD's at LSU and Florida to refuse to hire a coach until Ole Miss' season ends. They'd be putting all of their eggs in the Kiffin basket, and if Kiffin stays, they're screwed. It's a very weak pool of coaching options right now, and they run the risk of being left with nothing. At that point, they'd have to settle for someone like James Franklin or promote someone like Frank Wilson that is currently on staff.

You have to have ELITE, speedy WRs to beat ND.

Leonard Moore might be the best corner in the country, but their other corners have sort of been a revolving door. A&M, Miami, and USC lit those other corners up.

ND under Marcus Freeman is no cream puff. They went tit for tat with arguably the second best team in the country and they lost to a Miami team that when motivated can beat anyone. This ND team would whip Bama convincingly.

Disagree. I don't think ND's Defense is all that good. People are hyping up their Defense since the A&M game but they've only played 1 team with a pulse since then, and USC shot themselves in the foot with bad play-calling. They got lit up by Marcel Reed, who is very inconsistent, and a true freshman WR from Miami. They also can't run the ball on 3rd and 4th and short. They might have the worst kicking situation in the country as well.
What if Michigan beats Ohio State? Would the committee put them in? I know it sounds ridiculous, but I thought there was no chance that Michigan would beat them last year and they did, and this year it's in Ann Arbor.

Haven't seen any of Pitt this year. Do they have a good shot y'all think?

Yes. They are elite at stopping the run and ND isn’t anything special.

What's everyone think about UA/OU?

OU's playoff hopes will come to an end

notre damn WAY too low, no way in hell they don't get an automatic bid simply because they're notre damn

Pretty good chance they lose to Pitt

Now you are blaming the refs for cheating Notre Dame?

To be fair, A&M basically got away with murder with that no call. Refs bailed them out big time.

Apparently the early part of the season only counts if your school isn't bama. Good to know.

Bama has beat UGA and Vandy since the start of the season. Who has ND beat?

How is A&M beating a mediocre Notre Dame team the best win in CFB?

The media is pimping the highest ranked SEC team, which is A&M. They won't tell you that ND's defense is bad and their kicking game is probably the worst in all of college football. I watched that entire game and ND didn't impress me at all. They didn't look good and they're not a team I would consider to be good.

A&M fans gets really sensitive if you say ND isn't all that great. They also get sensitive if you point out that they only won because the refs bailed them out by refusing to call one of the more blatant holds of all time.

Cheating death against Vandy? It was a 34-10 game in the 4th and we played prevent and just wound the clock. Obviously penalties and blown coverages were problematic but I wouldnt say we "cheated death" in that game, MSU we absolutely cheated death.

If Vandy recovered that onside kick, there's a good chance they would've marched down the field and scored. They had all of the momentum.
The real question is which of those teams will Deuce Knight be playing for in 2027?
quote:

ND has played three ranked teams and lost to two of them. Their best win is #19 USC.

Agreed. The ONLY argument I could see is ND lost in the last seconds to the #3 team and the #18 team. They looked awful in both games. Against Miami they needed a bad bounce to go against them and against A&M they lost because the refs missed one of the more blatant holding calls of all time.

I hate that argument, because by that logic, Auburn has played a bunch of ranked teams really close, and they got royally screwed against UGA on the goal-line. But everyone thinks they stink, whereas a lot of people (not me) think that ND is really good.
