Loy has been wrong about a lot of things lately so I'd take his word with a grain of salt.
Leavitt or Sorsby will be at Miami, IMO.

The play-by-play is practically begging for a missed field goal.

Georgia will choke. Missed field goal or turnover.

I'll eat some crow

I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. We were a fraud team this year and we were lucky to even make the playoff given the way the playoff is currently constructed. The committee gave us the benefit of the doubt because of our name, and should have dropped us after the Auburn and Georgia games. Looking at it objectively, we needed Auburn doing everything possible to hand us the Iron Bowl on a silver platter just to squeak by, and the Georgia loss was worse than what the score indicated. Oklahoma was a fraudulent team as well, and the fact that it was a dog fight for a while is embarrassing.

Bama didn’t do shite to “deserve” to be in other than their name.

Who would you put in instead of Bama?

Texas?
ND?
Vandy?
BYU?
You people need to make up your minds.

OU is up 17-0 on Bama: "Bama doesn't deserve to be in! Texas, ND, BYU, and Vandy should've been in!"

Bama beats OU: "Bama deserved to be in!"

Indiana is up 17-0 on Bama: "Bama doesn't deserve to be in! Texas, ND, BYU, and Vandy should've been in!"

Make up your mind, people. Y'all said the same thing about A&M, Texas Tech, and Ohio State, too.

So if y'all have all the answers, what teams that made the CFP should not have made it, and what teams that didn't make the CFP should have replaced them? Name the teams.
He would have been fired after the Michigan game and wouldn't have won the Natty.
Last year's OSU team was insanely good. They'd crush every team this year. Honestly, this year is very, very weak. You could make a good case that all of the final 4 teams from last year would be favored over every team this year.

Why didn't any of you peen-fiends go after Mario Crystalball?

Because he never will leave Miami, voluntarily. He left a top 10-ish Oregon program to take over a mediocre Miami program. If he got the UGA job instead of Kirby and won back-to-back national titles, he would’ve left in 2 seconds to take over the same mediocre Miami program he left Oregon for.

Miami would be a top 3 SEC program

Pump the breaks. This is the weakest year in recent memory. Last year’s entire final 4 (OSU, Texas, ND, PSU) would likely be favored over every team in this year’s tournament.

TAMU fans are probably sick to their stomachs knowing they were just mediocre QB play away from beating this Miami team

Conversely, if A&M didn't get away with a blatant hold they would've been in the pop tarts bowl. Texas might've gotten in.

Anyone still all in on SEC pride?

LSU definitely doesn't. They were basically Ohio State superfans when Ohio State played Texas in the semi-final last year.

Suddenly SEC homers say bowl games are meaningless

I think the majority of this sub would agree that bowl games are meaningless and the CFP is all the matters. I also think that the majority of this sub would be fine with their team declining a bowl game because a crap ton of starters and rotational players would opt out for the draft or the portal.
Bowl games are meaningless. They’re basically preseason NFL games with a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers battling it out. I’d be fine with bowl games going away. They got a lot of criticism and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but ND may have been on to something. Just cancel them outright or decline the invite. What good are they if a bunch of starters opt out? It stinks, but this is what college football has become.

And Brown is being pursued by Miami who seems to have a track record for developing qbs

Cristobal hasn't developed anyone. He has simply rented QB's for 1 year who were already developed elsewhere. He's going to the portal every year because he and his offensive staff cannot develop a QB they actually recruited to save their lives.

Previously, LSU poached the winningest Coach in Notre Dame history.

It needs to be put into context. He racked up a bunch of wins against average and mediocre teams. His record against ranked teams wasn't the greatest. His team constantly got their dicks kicked in against teams with equal or better talent.

Everything you say about Kelly is also true of Kiffin.

Is Kiffin lazy? I know he's not the best HS recruiter, but he is very good with the portal. With HS recruiting, he'll at least know the names of the kids with LSU offers.
Lane is a much bigger hire. Kelly was vastly overrated at ND. He beat a bunch of average teams and the majority of the time his team played a team with equal or better talent, they didn't just lose, they got their dicks kicked in. ND has won more big games than they did under Kelly and when they lose to equal or more talented teams, they don't constantly get blown out.

ND is also recruiting much better without Kelly and they've won more bigger games than Kelly did under Freeman now. From all that has come out and based on what Freeman has done on the recruiting front, it's clear that Kelly was a very lazy recruiter at ND both with HS recruiting and in the portal. If Kelly were coaching last year's ND team they wouldn't have made the Natty because a lot of the key recruits and portal players they landed under Freeman never would've committed to Kelly in the first place.

ND and its corrupt deal with the CFP

I completely forgot about this, but during the summer the Big 10 wanted the CFP to grant a minimum of 7 Big Ten teams, far more than any other conference, a bid in the CFP. I wonder if Riley was behind that and is pissed that it never went anywhere.
No one cares. ND is not in the SEC. Take it to the ND board.

My goodness, first the Ohio State people, now the ND people. Stay on your own boards.
