Nothing deceptive about it. Republicans have engaged in unfair political gerrymandering to try to create an outcome in the midterm elections. Democrat controlled states are responding to keep the elections fair.

You don't like it because you want your tribe to abuse the gerrymandering while preventing the other tribe from countering. Boo farking hoo

You say all this as if the most egregious gerrymandering in our nation's history has not been committed by the Democratic party.

The leadership of the RNC has been sorely lacking for far too long. Absolutely no strategic planning whatsoever. How this VA battle was fought is yet another example of the party leadership’s failure and incompetence.

We didn't gerrymander anything. We corrected the previous gerrymandering. God bless Texas.

You radical leftists are pathetic.

I didn’t support Texas. I’m sure you supported CA. You know, the genesis.

Everything you said was a projection. It’s a commie specialty.

Like your boy Hakeem says. This is a war. The worst kind will eventually be the result as you freaks continue to attempt to gain complete control.

Bad news for you you though, you won’t win the war b

The wording makes it sounds like the districts will change every time a different party’s gets control in the state .

Unless one party rules takes over. It's up to the under 40s to figure all this stuff out and solve it. Too late for me. Good luck! Run for office.

They should, as much as possible have all districts be grids. Let AI do it.

Grok, make 9 congressional districts in Tennessee as grid shaped as possible keeping them to roughly a 765,000 person district.

That's part of the reason a judge struck it down as being unconstitutional. Waiting on Va Supreme Court to take up this case on April 27.

Whenever the government talks about “fairness”, you best watch out. You’re about to get cheated.

Who is the “we”? Republicans won’t do a thing and Trump can’t on his own so who exactly are you referring to?

“We” was a reference to the American people. You are totally right in us having the illusion that they actually represent us, though.

Thank you bfiv for posting this. So many people are ringing their hands and panicking over this situation. When the lower district courts of Virginia sided with the Republican congressman on the lawsuits that were brought the supreme Court of Virginia, which I believe is slightly conservative, went ahead and just allowed the election to take place knowing that they were going to revisit this. All this handwringing and all this panicking may very well be for nothing because this vote may very well be thrown out by the supreme Court of Virginia. We shall see, but thanks for posting so that others will know about this

Because the RNC enjoys losing. They don’t like being in charge, they like minority status and acting like they are fighting. They really just enjoy the money trough

The amusing part is seeing all the leftists complaining about Texas. They often fail to think critically and don’t look beyond what they are fed by the media. The long history of gerrymandering in blue states contributes to this situation. It will likely go to the Supreme Court, and we’ll see what happens. These days, who knows? Common sense seems to have disappeared from public discourse and the courts. We might end up with a decision that nobody likes, which would only deepen the divide in this country. Thanks, Democrats…

Corrected?

quote:

Trump won Texas in 2024 with 56% of the vote. But the current Congressional maps drawn in 2021 saw voters preferring him in 71% — or 27 — of the 38 Texas congressional districts. Under the current proposed map, Trump would have carried 79% of districts, meaning the new boundaries are drawn in a way that favors Republicans far beyond their share of statewide voter support last year.

It was already out of whack and now it’s even more so lol

53% Republican state
New maps
30 republicans
8 dems
80% republican districts

Do you actually believe your own BS or do you just spout whatever makes you feel better?

So 2 grids for 75% of the population, and 7 for everyone else living in the middle of no where.
