re: Anyone think Kiffin could actually stay at Ole Miss now?
Posted by Hmerly on 11/24/25 at 5:19 pm to Ancient Astronaut
At this point I’d imagine Ole Miss fans have got to be tired of this game every off season. If he stays, what happens next year when jobs open up? You’ll go through this all over again. It’s old and it’s time to move on. No matter how good you think he is, he’s obviously looking for something else.
re: Honestly Ole Miss is nuts to keep Kiffin at this point

I think at this point Lane is done at Ole Miss. if he somehow stays this year, they will go through this whole ordeal all over again next year with whatever job opens up. I remember how irritating it was when Saban’s name came up for every open NFL job. It just won’t last if he’s always listening.

Exactly the kind of thing that screwed BK. Let the new coach decide and stop constantly micro managing his decisions.
It's the only option. Firing Kelly now would be dumb. Firing him without a coach ready to step in would be idiotic. Unless Saban or maybe Kiffin is banging on Woody's door, they're not going to fire Kelly.
The logical thing to do is bolster the offensive coaches and pay money for next year's roster. This is what college football has become.

Love it, the transparency is amazing. I hope all sports adopt this.

Think some people prefer LSU to lose so they can blame the coach they don't like, rather than hope we win. It's crazy that they call themselves LSU fans
Hells yeah

Even with the bad Orgeron years, LSU athletics was not hurting. You think winning 10 games this year will mean no one will show up at Tiger Stadium next year? Hell no, it'll be packed and rocking as always, as real fans will still come.

Most of us think he's just another UHigh guy that'll leave town. Don't blame him, but it'll suck seeing him at A&M.

LSU lets gooooo
What's funny to me is the audience. A bunch of white folks dancing and jamming out to someone telling them they've lost their country and not realizing it. Or they do realize and think it's great.
I don't think people are negative about the kid, it's more negative about the process. It's a matter of money now, and kids will go to the highest bidder. Hopefully, in Elijah Haven's case, he'll be an exception, but it's doubtful. LSU will pay, but I don't think we'll be able to match what others will offer. The hope is that Elijah and his family are happy enough with what LSU offers to stay home.

High elf cleric back in 1999. Recently started playing again on Quarm. Its an EQEMU server so free to play. Nice quality of life improvements, and instanced raiding. Probably one of the most popular servers around right now. Great for scratching the EQ itch.

Yeah, the game is very mid. Looks good though. Otherwise, basically the same formula, except now you're basically forced to be a gay black samurai in feudal Japan of all things. Guess they didn't have more things to work on. Gotta get that inclusiveness in the game.

Hope Keys and Haven were talking about how cool it'll be to win natties at LSU
Awesome news. However, I'll get excited when he signs. We've all seen these stories before.

Its funny how WW's story has changed. Went from a guy who couldn't coach to a would be savior. He could recruit, but he was not a good strategist or X&O kind of guy. His teams were awful and did not have fundamentals at all. People were trashing him here when he was the coach, but now he's suddenly this mighty titan that can bring LSU BB to the promised land. The guy isn't all that, and he may be better than what we have now, but memory is easily tainted when things are crap right now.

How do you get punched in the face, go to one knee and not have it count as a knockdown. Just doesn’t make sense.
I think Cejudo was looking for a way out. His leg was shot. He was hurting. You can tell he was wondering what the hell he was doing in there. This isn't the young quick guy that took the octagon by storm. This is the un-retired version that's lost 3 in a row now. He should never have played games with the UFC and retired the first time. His legacy is now ruined.
If the fight continued he would've gotten knocked out. If he did not get poked, he would've still lost. Those groin shots did not hit the cup, they just hurt like hell.

This will be fine for large companies as they can afford the money and time to go through the twenty steps for e verify, etc. it’s the small businesses that’ll be screwed
This makes no sense at all. You want to trade your best asset fine, but to do it in secrecy and without the chance of opening up bidding to the rest of the league is a fireable offense. You got a decent piece in an aging, fragile AD and a 2029 1st round pick, but you could have gotten so much more. This is simply crazy and Dallas fans need to be outside the GM’s office tomorrow demanding answers.
