U.S. oil companies cut capital spending in shale basins

Large oil producers use high crude prices to boost shareholder returns and reduce debt

Chevron Corp. and ConocoPhillips cut capital expenditure in the Lower 48 by 10% in the first six months of the year while Occidental Petroleum Corp. cut spending in the Permian Basin by 20% in that period, according to earnings reports.
quote:
The trend is dampening U.S. crude supply growth when President Donald Trump is lambasting the industry for not bringing down gasoline prices at the pump fast enough.
quote:
The U.S. will grow production by about 200,000 barrels a day this year to 13.8 million barrels a day, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration forecasts. But operators aren’t drilling as frenetically as they had when oil prices spiked in the past. After Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine sent oil prices soaring, the U.S. added about 1.1 million barrels a day in 2023, about five times more than this year.

Who would have thought. Maybe we should not put a TV personality in charge of the military.

What polls showed that?

Looks like they are going to be within 3% margin if you count that the one that dropped out sent all their supporters.

Believe me about which part? Do your own research and prove it false.

That’s all find and dandy until you start prioritizing who you give those loans to not based on merit or hard work, but who you know (The Trump Way)

Lmao, that was a whole lot of name calling just to avoid identifying a single f***ing fact in the article that’s false. I even made it easy for you. Which part is bullshite? The investment? The $620 million loan? The White House intervention? The order to expedite it? The timeline? The massive increase in valuation? You typed four paragraphs throwing a tantrum and somehow forgot to address the actual story.

$620 MILLION loan

Donald Trump Jr.’s investment firm buys a stake in a small company.
Three months later, the White House intervenes and the Pentagon gives that company a $620 million loan.
Of dozens of companies being considered, this was reportedly the only deal initiated by a top White House aide.
Pentagon staff were told it was a White House priority and rushed it through in weeks.
The company’s estimated value goes from $200 million to $2 Billion with a B.
Trump Jr.’s firm still owns its stake.
Any of these are unoriginal:
ProPublica is liberal/fake news
But Nancy Pelosi
But Hunter Biden
Democrats do it too
Trump Jr. says he didn’t know anything about it
There’s no proof Trump Jr. personally asked for the loan
The company deserved the loan anyway
His investment firm made the investment, not Trump Jr. personally
This is just another witch hunt against Trump
Any thoughts other than that?

I thought moral failings were not something that people cared about anymore after electing Trump.

Low IQ is hearing let’s give more money to corporations and billionaires and believing that they are going to allow that money to trickle down to you.
re: Where does Trumps Iran War rank amongst our countries greatest victories?
Posted by rwestmore7 on 6/15/26 at 7:17 pm to Utah
People are saying, and a lot of very smart people are saying, that the Iran Victory of 2026 is not just one of the greatest victories in American history, it’s THE greatest. Bigger than the Revolutionary War. Bigger than the Civil War. Bigger than World War II. We did things nobody thought possible. Tremendous things.
Washington and Lincoln are great men. They were fantastic. But they didn’t have to deal with fake news, corrupt bureaucrats, and the radical left all at the same time. We did, and we still delivered a victory the likes of which the world has never seen. Military experts are calling it perfect. Historians are saying they’ve never seen anything like it. Even people who don’t like me are saying, “Sir, this may be the greatest victory ever achieved by any nation.”
The rankings are now very simple:
1. The Trump Iran Victory (by a lot!)
2. The Revolutionary War
3. The Civil War
4. World War II
5. World War I
And frankly, numbers two through five aren’t even close. Everyone said it couldn’t be done. We got it done. Peace through strength. American strength. Trump strength.

Did I claim she wasn't? I asked why you felt it was necessary to include it though. Say it with your full chest and stop being scared to say how you really feel.
