He is pulling what a mayor of a Texas town that voted 3-2 to remove flock did. He got pissed that citizens didn’t like it and try to put a resolution to ban all technology from the town.

Also it’s telling that flock employee that have no problem filming everyone didn’t enjoy a journalist going to their office parking lot and filming them.

Root cause is horrible parenting. Flock cameras do not prevent anything and should be illegal under Fourth Amendment.

Something like 2/3 of murders in New Orleans, which has cameras everywhere, don't even result in an arrest. How? With cameras everywhere? Guess they'll just use the cameras to catch the people they really want to catch "breaking the law."

The police already have tons of security cameras. They refuse to use them to arrest murderers, rapists, and thieves. They do use them to arrest conservative protesters. Why would I trust them with more surveillance resources?

why not both govt and private companies? Also, the govt can destroy your life in ways a private company can't, even if it's "less" data. And the govt can get the private company data without you knowing.

Having cameras on every corner for the govt to access. And then they can see all the cars with cameras on them, and reach out to the car companies to get the recordings they are making.

It happens already. In Britain they have total surveillance like us, but reduced protections for freedom of expression or thought. Because they cannot just kill people, yet, they pretend disappear people by arresting them for thought crime, publicly humiliating them, depriving them of the ability to work forever, and then they make thought criminals permanently impoverished wards of the state. They do legally what we do with unbanking and cancel culture. In Islamic countries and narcostates where no pretense of Democracy is needed, actual police states just disappear you, like the Saudis did that "journalist" who pissed off the Prince. Maybe if you really pissed off the authorities they'll leak audio to your family, before they grind your corpse into kibble and dispose of it in a way that is culturally offensive. That's a police state. What we're experiencing right now is bullying by organizations that anticipate unhinged unmitigated power, all your little law enforcement goon friends have justice boners for the day when they can just yoink someone's wife out of their house cause they didn't like the way she changed lanes, and point to some AI witness to justify it. This flock stuff is scaffolding for, the eventual erection of all of the above. Once this sht is in place, legally protected, and your fourth amendment rights sufficiently eroded, it's only a matter of time before the "wrong" authoritarian prick gets into power and you and your LGBTQIA club or Founding Father's Fan Fiction Larp Society are suddenly understanding why Ruby Ridge was a horseshoe theory shttest for the normal distributed IQ curve.

I’ve posted here before that my daughter was being stalked and harassed by an old boyfriend. He has anger management issues among many others. The local police were able to track his movements to make sure he stayed away from her apartment and they let him know they were monitoring him. He changed car tags and moved 750 miles away and it only took the police 3 minutes to find his new location when she called to see if he was still in the area. It gave her some comfort knowing he wasn’t in the area any longer.
