Congress does not have all the money to give to others. That is our money!!
You know who does have the money though, all the people funding political activism, political legal actions, political campaigns. Multiple billions are spent on political activism by both the government and special interest.groups.
Take that money and effort, and put it to good and lots of world problems are solved overnight.

These are the teams that have won a title since the BCS 1998
Tennessee (1)
LSU (3)
Alabama (6)
Auburn (1)

During this time period Arkansas and Ole Miss winning BCS or Big Six games. No other conference even comes close to this. Mississippi State of all teams was actually ranked #1 in the AP during this time period.
It's hit and miss just like every other program. USC, UCLA, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Purdue, Stanford, Houston, TCU, TT, etc all have/had their moments in time. It's all cyclical and nothing guarantees a winning team keeps winning or a losing team is always a loser.

Between the 2-3 good teams is a bunch of cupcake programs that dont care about football
The SEC has created a bubble for themselves. They insulated the good teams with more than half the teams that are far below average. The top SEC teams play maybe 3 games that are above average conference teams a year.
Look at Ark this year. SEC teams played them fairly close for how bad they were, while ND blew them out and got the coach fired.
The SEC has a reputation built on a 3-4 teams and the rest are cup cakes.
The kicker was not the only college player wearing the shorts. I saw a few defensive players in games wearing them the last few weeks.

The system should be held accountable too. I'm so sick of this.
I do not understand how our justice system has moved so far to compassion for violent offenders. There is no debate that the violence occurred and yet the offender receive compassion from the court.
Makes no sense, but I guess as long as the citizens continue to accept these actions from the courts it's accepted by society.

What are you insinuating about the ND schedule? As we have seen a couple years now, teams can go from bad to really good in one off-season due to NIL and the transfer portal.
That schedule could have 5 top 10 teams in it by the time August come around.

There is no way that MOU was meant to go public, right?
Extremely likely that Alabama, as well as Miami had the same agreement made last year. That would explain a lot about the poll movements at the end of this season.
Uhh, maybe because driven competitive people want to play the best.
Anyone remember Alabama football between Bear Bryant and Saban? People seem to believe that Alabama has always been a great model program.

We already play a P4 in tech, so it'd be in our best interest to play tomato cans the other 2 games we have a choice for.
Actually, it would be in best interest to play the best non conference team you can get for the first game. If non conference loses will not impact conference standing, then why not try to play the best team possible?
This improves SOS, a loss is not that bad early, a win is huge.

Handle your business and don’t kill the value of a regular season
Lol. Why is Alabama replaying OU? Why is Ole Miss replaying Tulane. Don't kill the value of the regular season.
I will agree with you if the value of the regular season means only conference champions and top independent team go to a natty playoff.
If a top 10 team throughout the CFP ranking does not play in the playoffs, it's a foul system. There is not a team, school, or conference that would not have the same bewilderment of the system if it affected them.
re: Putting the Notre Dame opt out into perspective.

The opt out is not entitlement. It's most likely going to be common as players will opt out of playing bowl games because of 1. Transfer portal, 2. NFL draft security (injury), 3. NIL.
College is a new game now and players are going to protect themselves.
Also, on ND decision itself. Those players have been playing 10 playoff games this season. They were under the gun and stress since losing there first two games. That takes a mental toll. A bowl game is nothing more than an exhibition game to those players and likely ask why take the risk of injury and time away during break.

Ranking of losses should somehow be incorporated in those rankings. Why does everyone count wins against top teams but not loses against bad teams?
Something no one is recognizing with the CFP committee. Based on their explanation for excluding ND, ND did not have a path to the CFP despite being in the CFP top 10 every week.
They say Miami did not jump ND until BYU lost to TT in the B12 CG. Had BYU won that game, ND and Miami would have been out if they kept Alabama in.
This just proves that the CFP really did lead ND and fans along the whole time with no real intention of selecting them for the CFP.

All in the OP is true, but what is ironic is that it the boomers that did not raise their kids the same way and built a population of weak, entitled ridden, do nothing, liberal activists.

had joined the ACC they would have been in the CCG
This is the dumbest statement I see across this board today. If you play good football it should not come down to whether you are in a conference or not.
It's the game on the field that matters. You people are way to consumed with conference ideology instead of the game being played. ND is not joining a conference an no conference will ever boycott them for not joining a conference.
BTW, I did not like ND growing up because they sucked and were on TV all the time. I picked up on them last year because of how they play under Freeman. Now I am glad they are on every week because they are fun to watch right now.
If you watched football and not just homer SEC, you would wish your team had Marcus Freeman and played his brand of football.
Those guys are disciplined and get after it. They got robbed this year, no other way to look at it.

re: New Notre Dame rule revealed

Sounds like the same rule Alabama mad after missing the CFP last year. There is no other explanation for the manipulation of Bama ranking the last three weeks.
This is a backdoor way of telling conferences to fix their tie breaker system, because the CFP committee is no longer going to protect the loser of championship game, or a 3rd,4th,5th conference team.
What will be the SEC cry if this was in affect this year. Would Alabama knock OU out because the lost the SECCG? Miami would not be able to jump over the teams in the ACCCG.

The teams playing in the bowl games have not been the same starters that played during the season. Too many player opting out due to portal or draft.
