Comeback for the ages from Jeff Landry

A year ago, even on this board, people were calling him a 1-term governor.
Since then…ousted Brian Kelly when JBE wouldn’t have. Landed Lane Kiffin. Brought home Will Wade. Ended DEI. Ousted William Tate and installed CONSERVATIVE CHAMPIONS at LSU. Finally won back our districts.
Is there anything this man can’t accomplish?

He needs to make the Lady Techsters great again

I’ll give him his kudos if he manages to repeal the inventory tax this session and gets Baton Rouge a new bridge.

So a bunch of sports shite?
How about we get away from the crippling lawyer-based economy we've been living under? But we know Jeff ain't doing that.

Just so it's known, I am NOT a lawyer. But, while the PI lawyers do play a part in the insurance crisis, I can't help but wonder why the insurance companies (which are EXTREMELY greedy) never seem to get their fair share of the blame?

Cancelled mid-barritaria project
Pogie boats prowling our shores decimating our fisheries
He needs stronger leadership in the conservation area

If he gets redistricting done for the midterms that would solidify him for reelection.

I saw the first glimmer of what I thought I would get when I voted for him last week after the mall shooting.

Jury is still out on this one. To me, Landry’s first order of business should’ve been to publicly can William Tate, the ultimate DEI f*cking failure.. He didn’t. In fact, it appeared as though Tate left on his own.
It's still unclear whether the new administration isn't a bunch of DEI propagandists. Much like Julia Lellow, they have a history of championing DEI. to be honest, I haven’t seen much change at LSU with its “cultcha" problem. It sure does seem like same old, same old.

Does not seem important at all.

This. And this again.
However, LA voters need to be careful they don't cut off their nose to spite their face. Landry may be bad, but he is still magnitudes to be preferred to a Dem.

Mulkey back to her Alma Mater would be nice.

I don't have a problem with him as Governor but I do have a problem with his previous position during the Covid takeover years. He did nothing when the previous governor was riding high as a dictator with issues related to his Covid regulations on our rights. Landry easily could have pushed back but he didn't and he showed himself as part of the problem.

Jeff needs to actually do what he said he would during his press conference post mall shooting.
I haven’t seen any NG or FBI sweeps yet in NBR like he mentioned.
He will get big kudos from me if he does that. If he doesn’t, then he’s a huge POS in my mind for saying something we all want for points and having zero follow through.

The best thing about Landry is that he isn't JBE. Or any other Democrat who would owe their allegiance to the party of Stacey Abrams, Barack Obama, and Chuck Schumer.

We don't really do 1-term governors here. Blanco was our last one-term governor because she didn't run for reelection. She probably would have won if she ran because we're stupid and lazy and don't like to vote here.
Before him was Edwin Edwards, who also did not run for reelection.
Buddy Roemer was the last one-term governor who actually lost his reelection for a second term. That happened in 1991.
David Treen lost his reelection in 1983.
Before that, the last governor that lost reelection was in 1887, I believe.
