I think BK stopped caring about his future and how he’s viewed a long time ago.

When we had doubts that he would fire House after the ‘23 defense.. that’s when I knew he wasn’t a serious coach anymore
I think he hates that the fan base isn’t showing up to games and leaving early when they are having a phenomenal year.

Sort of a “are you not entertained?!” Type feeling he must be having.

I don’t want to dog on OM too much here though. LSU fans leave early in droves too but the teams have sucked so there’s that.

They need to take tix away from little college white girls, they show up to take a picture for IG and then want to leave to meet Brad at a bar. They contributed zero to the atmosphere.
I think Lane knows deep down he the blue bloods are the only ones that win nattys.

Getting to the playoffs will 100% be attainable at OM, but I just don’t see him going all the way there.

The OSUs, UGA, Bama’s, LSU, Texas’ of the world are far too good at having complete rosters year over year.

His teams at OM will be very dependent on 3-4 star players, and if they are hurt or underperform for a game it can all come to an end.
Not really as concerned about this.
When any contract is exercised, there will be maneuvering by both parties.

Anyone in the coaching business knows that happens with buyouts if fired.

If we come out hard and start slinging dirt publicly on BK that’s when I think it could affect the search.

Not excited about him but I guess offense would get better
This wouldn’t shock me.

If I’m on the team and I see Nuss fake limping around and collecting 3MM while sucking arse I would be pretty mad at him too.
I’m cool with kids making money, but the issue is these kids are paid contracts with zero ability to hold them accountable.

They collect their bag.. suck arse.. and then get to at worse be millionaires at 22 years old, and at best make the league?

That’s not a breeding ground for excellence.
I actually don’t think it’s Bama bias anymore as crazy as that is to say.

I think ESPN knows their top SEC teams need to make the playoffs for revenue and ratings so they tip the scales in big games to prevent upsets. Look at the whole Kirby fiasco and calling the timeout… that was atrocious.

I’m with the other posters that it’s time for teams to start sending a walk on or “goon” to go take out a QBs knee or decleat a ref after this shite happens. It’s too obvious, and it’s insulting to fans because we like to have the illusion of fairness.
I’m cool with keeping him on staff, but his coaching acumen is to be desired.

I think keeping him around as director of personnel or recruiting director etc is not a bad idea to keep all the old players happy as they donate and support the program externally.

I would be in if it was Huepel.
That’s a good hire honestly.
We had zero expectations to win last night… it’s literally not even in the ballpark
Looking around the country, some of the highly touted returning QBs who took large NIL deals are not panning out.
(Nuss, Beck, Klubnik, Manning..)

Maybe, getting a lesser known kid for a lower price yields more because they still believe the idea of earning something to get to the NFL.

It’s not crazy to think if these kids already are millionaires and celebrities around the country before the season starts, that it might mess with their drive and preparation.
18 shouldn’t go to another QB for a very long time.

I can’t say it definitely messed with Nuss’ head but he sure started playing like he was the anointed one stopped playing with guts.
Sorry to be negative.. but they all suck.

Whoever our next coach is needs to go get 7-8 new OL from around the country and hope for the best.

We will not know anything for weeks.
Every single “sauce” or prediction will be

“Kiffin or XYZ coach is still the target… they are going big… lots of support… offer out there… still lots to be worked out.. will know more as it develops…”

It’s all Bologna

We just got our arse whooped by these people.. now we have to do this and have them all laugh at us even more?

Hear me out.
On its face I think this is retarded but..

I would bet that most couples likely plan to stay in their house for 10-15 years before selling and moving. Having this lower note might lower the threshold for gen z and gen a to get into homes.

If you were to sit on a 50 year mortgage that’s an awful deal.

But young people are screaming he isn’t helping with affordability and this is one way to appease them before they believe the Dems will do it for them.
Too much money involved.
People who say this are stupid.

LSU athletics is a 100MM per year business.

Do you really think a 100MM company would just sit around and go into irrelevance like it was 30 years ago?

No we will keep making changes until it works because there’s too much at stake.

It really would be awesome if Verge leverages his Saban relationship and get Saban to convince Kiffin to come to LSU.

Kiffin and LSU would fit like PB&J.
We would adore his shite talking and we put a lot of weight on good offenses.
