First huge hurdle is getting Thune to even bring it to a vote and kill the zombie filibuster.

Hopefully after Trumps pressure last night that gets pushed through. Sad we even have to worry about this.

With that said, if they get through and codify it, there will 100% be lawsuits out the arse from NGOs and dem led groups.

I have no doubt some circuit judge will put a wrench in things with a bogus ruling.

Question is does this go through appeals and SCOTUS before November for it to be enacted.

If enacted I really do think the dems are in deep trouble to relevancy. They rely so heavily on mail in ballots and ballot harvesting in urban areas.

Interesting to see them transition from the straight bar dead lifts to the trap bar during their weight training.
Not sure what the benefits are.

Here now for a conference.
Staying in Resorts world and kid you not the place is damn near empty. A few of the casino table games were filled but rest of casino a ghost town. All the shops and restaurants at RW also dead quiet.

Walked all down the strip and went into Wynn/Encore, Venetian/Palazzo, and Paris and Caesars… same thing. Very few people around.

Feels sort of eerie but not sure if this is just their slow season

Also, I’d love them to upgrade the stadium but the money will go to the players now and facilities upgrades will fall in priority.

That sucks, but after hour so long I would have just looked to rent a car to not be a slave to the airlines.

It’s so frustrating because it’s clear they just run the exact same play when DJT is in office and the world whips into a frenzy all the same.

I understand Trump is trying to thread the needle to not affect midterms… but this has gotten old that portions of the country devolve into legitimate anarchy when he’s president and we just sit back and allow it.

I know it’s a trap being set to paint Trump as a dictator if he rolls in and cracks heads. The situation genuinely sucks and they know it.

So I think some here, myself included, assumed we would get a good to great portal class and rebuild in ‘26 to some degree and then go all in for ‘27 when Kiffin is established and has his system in place.

That would make sense in the early portal era and most definitely pre portal and NIL but now it’s morphed.

Your entire roster is up for bid every single off season. You may get a kid, but he could be gone immediately. Yes retaining is likely easier but still a very good chance any decent to great talent on your team takes off for simply more money.

If you don’t go all in every single year, you are quite literally conceding a season and making it that much harder the following. The days of “building” are gone or will at minimum look very different.

Kudos to Kiffin and his staff for understanding this.. hence the absolute slaughter we are seeing in the portal and total sense of urgency.
