Physically removing Scott Pressler from the GOP meeting in San Diego yesterday using security was the final straw for a lot of people who are already hopping mad about the save Act.
This is a warning shot for Thune. I'd like to see them move towards a recall.

Louisiana censured Cassidy, and then the voters took him out in the primary, it’s a warning shot.

Thune got drunk on swamp water and forgot where he was from. It happens a lot in DC.

You mean, “Thune does not have his constituents in his best interest and gave them the middle finger”. Not only do his constituents want the save act but 80% of all people want it. This is not about trump. This is about fair and secure elections. You must be part of the 20% that knows that legit elections means your side will be bench warmers for eternity.

Handling a POS like Thune was so much easier before the 17th Amendment. Prior to the 17th Amendment his state legislature would have called him home and 'sacked' him. It is a crying shame we don't go back US Senators being appointed and serving at the whim of state legislatures. Alot of the B.S. would end immediately.

What can they do before his term is up?
Serious public scorn and make his life miserable. Something is amiss; this issue has bipartisan support. It's not like he'd catch hell for doing exactly what the Dems will if they take control via their usual corrupt ballots.
He could start by firing that partisan, obstructionist Parliamentarian and changing the rules to force a winnable vote.

They just need to post signs everywhere that his father is embarrassed of what is is doing to America.
His father was a decorated pilot in the Pacific, he must be rolling in his grave.
Hang them everywhere he travels when he goes home, embarrass his family.
What a disgrace for someone whose grandfather immigrated to this country. My grandson made a fortune fckin it.

It's time for a new senator, South Dakotians. Make SD Great Again. I'm not sure what he will do afterwards, seeing how he's never really done anything before. But I'm sure he'll manage.
He looks like a dousch.

Yes it would.
Most people don't even realize that it would give Republicans a veto-proof majority.

Isn’t ‘censure’ another word for “we ain’t gonna do shite?”
A censure from his own state GOP should be enough to remove him from his Senate leadership. He drank the DC swamp water and has followed Liz Chaney's road map.
If the 17th Amendment hadn't been passed, the state legislature could have recalled him and replaced him.

Don't you think that's the purpose of the censure? It's how a body can express public scorn.

No doubt. Thune's a problem.
