re: Four decades later: Lafayette ‘one step closer’ to I-49 Connector
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 7/7/26 at 8:09 am to ragincajun03
The 'hold up' has always been the segment thru the city of Lafayette. It will be disruptive to the 'Thruway' and adjoining properties. I think the best chance for success would be to bypass the city (either the Teche Ridge option to the east or possibly to the west near Scott or Mire).

re: Rank these 4 bands: The Eagles, Boston, Chicago, Steely Dan
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 7/6/26 at 1:50 pm to State Bird
Chicago
Eagles
Steely Dan
Boston
I love Boston! However, I feel their lack of time (number of albums, etc.) prevents them from being rated anywhere near the other three.
re: Truck damage: Bullet hole or rock?
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 7/5/26 at 11:36 am to Puffoluffagus
I echo that it is a bullet hole. The strange thing is the hole is low on the car's body. The angle appears to be upward from the side/rear.

re: They Thought They Knew America… Until the World Cup 2026 Changed Everything

The media (MSM in USA and around the world) are not able to filter out the 'goodness' of our country. With Team Trump at the helm, the Spirit of America has been restored and has flourished. :usa:

More importantly, the company executives and board of directors need to be fined HEAVILY. ALL illegal labor must go home!

Congratulations on the grandbaby! There is no better feeling in the world. My grandkids are 8, 7, & 3 years old. It is wonderful.
Communication is key. Manage your expectations. Play the long game & be supportive of them the best you can. Things will work out.
Enjoy God's blessing! Take care! :usa:

re: Stephen A. rant Lakers ‘bunch of white dudes’ is unacceptable – racist much?
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 7/2/26 at 2:03 pm to djmed
That is why I don't listen to sports talk programs anymore, and as a matter of fact watch limited sports programming. Race, politics, race, politics, race. BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! If I wanted his take on white people I would ask him. Stick to the sport, not your racist political views.

re: Should this Air Force Major be Shot?

No. Dumbasses dont deserve to be shot. However, I would send him to the tiniest most remote island in the Pacific Ocean on a four year duty assignment. :rotflmao:

Good riddance to the Turtle. The only person I despise more than him is 'pretty boy' Paul Ryan. Those two evil souls have done more to harm conservatives in the USA over the past 20 years than the entirety of the Democratic Party. :pimp:

President Trump knows that he has to 'attempt' to show restraint for the loons on the left & the Europeans. Otherwise, he is a war monger. We can all agree no one wants civilian casualties. However, it may be necessary to irradicate the Iranian leadership.
President Trump & his cabinet knew full well all along that these clowns (Iranian leadership) were not trustworthy and they did not expect the Iranians to abide by any terms. However, given the pathetic support by our European ALLIES, President Trump is having to show extreme patience. Sooner or later, he will reach his tipping point. I believe that day has arrived! :usa:

One suggestion. Try to find a purpose. Whether it is tinkering around your house, volunteering, a hobby, etc. Many retirees lose direction & go off the rails. Cheers! Prayers for the next chapter of your life.

Let me explain it to the feeble and weak this way. If you are queasy with today's situation try being self-employed. I have been self-employed for over 34 years. It is daily combat. The life of a Viking warrior. Life is not fair and is very unforgiving. People that you think are your clients are unforgiving. The market is very competitive & lean. Each day when you rise, you had better act like the third camel walking up the ramp to Noah's ark & it is beginning to rain. In other words move faster, push harder, or else! :pimp:
re: Was no one concerned about Letlow being Pro-Carbon capture?
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 6/28/26 at 2:13 pm to theunknownknight
Letlow is for this because their is a TON of government money involved in the carbon capture scam. Many of the major oil companies developed divisions to get involved in the money grab. Now they are coming for your land to make the money on.
re: 46 Republicans voted against taking staff funding from rogue Judge James Boasberg

Several years ago, Jonathan Gilliam was filling in for Haniity on his radio show and he mentioned something that I will never forget. It is a long story, but the short of it is the Republican and Democratic parties are PRIVATE clubs. If your ideas, desires, and thoughts overlap theirs in anyway come on over. Regardless, the club will rarely go out of its way to satisfy its membership. They (the REPUBS & DEMS) have their agenda and will rarely expand it for the will of the people.
re: Why Don't, Or Why Can't, We Strike Power Plants?

From what I remember hearing sometime back, the Iranians threatened to strike the water facilities of the Arab nations if their power plants were damaged.
