I could never vote for a Democrat since they've embraced the illegal 5th column and communism. That being said there was no way in hell I would ever vote for Cornyn. If he lost by one vote I would have been proud of it. I'm tickled pink that he got booted in the primary as I'd hoped.

They aren’t the same. Republicans just need to actually govern on the things they actually run on. The Democrats don’t seem to have any problem doing so.
Again, I don’t know what anyone governing from “the middle” would really look like at this point. Nobody seems to even be able to articulate it because it’s essentially nonsense.

I don’t vote by party, registered as unaffiliated, but if I’m being honest, it’s been a long time since I voted for a Democrat.

Yet you vote Democrat as if it’s still the party of 1990s Bill Clinton. Democrats openly support socialism, open borders, DEI mandates, defunding the police, etc. Any of those positions would be incomprehensible for the Democrats you pretend you’re still voting for.

I don’t know a single politically interested person IRL that claims to be centrist or moderate that swings each election. It’s such an odd phenomenon on here that we have so many left leaning centrists.

I was first able to vote in the 1980 Presidential election, registered R. In those first 20 years I would vote R or D depending on the candidate. But the D's have gone off the deep end with all the tribalism, transgenderism, unlimited gender, DEI, socialist, communist, sharia loving, no borders, anti law enforcement, abortion at birth, that I just can't.
I don't always like the R candidate, ie Letlow, but I see so many so called conservatives say they are voting for Davis that I'll have no choice but to vote for Letlow just to cancel out one of their ridiculous votes.

This, there were a lot of Libertarian votes in 2020 in States like GA, WI, and AZ that could have made the difference in that election. Throwing your vote away in a close election is the same as letting the Dems win.

we had a good Democrat governor in Phil Bredesen that outperformed his republican predecessor. I voted for him running for second term. The last D that I have voted for. He lost his bid for Senate because voters knew he would just be another Shumer stooge.

Always been an independent voter. I’ve leaned right until MAGA came along. I think MAGA is a losing ideology as currently executed. I’ll absolutely vote Dem if I like the candidate. I’m not easily influenced by the shite on the internet.
