The Republican Party is an embarrassment and it’s most glaring on a local level
Even though I’m a believer in the theoretical underpinnings of what republicans are supposed to stand for that never end up transferring to reality, I would never go to a local Republican event because it’s a bunch of grown up closeted drama club/student government kids who work for their dads law firm or car dealership
I would have more common ground in a trade union meeting

Yes, I used to be a Democrat that rarely voted for Democrats. Now I am a Republican who never votes for Democrats.

I'd vote for my state rep. She was a Dem but now is I after the Black Dems got mad at her. Very effective and does great at getting bills passed her constituents want. Same district has a GOP state sen. At this point, I'd vote for her over a Republican because she is damn good at what she does.

Voting republican for every office in texas this year except senator. Have voted Dem a few times and will again based on candidate

Historically, I’ve never been bound by party. For example, my first national vote was for Nixon. I voted for a Dave Treen rather than Edwin Edwards.
However, I can’t see myself voting for the current iteration of what used to be the Republican Party(that party has been thoroughly corrupted).

I’ll vote for an independent if I know he doesn’t vote left. Otherwise I vote GOP.

Sadly, I voted for Clinton during his first run. Looking back, I wish I would have voted for Perot.
I did vote for Perot in 1996.
Then sadly felt like I had to vote Bush as a vote against Gore.
Voted Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012 and then Gary Johnson in 2016. That was the last time I voted libertarian.
Voted against Biden by voting for Trump and against Harris by voting for Trump
Local, state, and congressional elections I tend to vote R or I unless there is a blue dog that really outshines the R or I candidate but that rarely happens.
