re: Are there any voters here who don't vote strictly by party?

I have some problems with the Republican party, but could never vote for a Democrat. I would consider voting third party, if it wouldn't assure a Democrat victory.
Unfortunately, that is what we have come to - the parties have created a toxic environment where your choices are black and white. You can either vote for the communist, baby killer, pedophile, open borders, and Hamas supporter, or you can vote for the racist, homophobic, woman hating, fascist, Zionist supporter.
Elections are fought on demonization of the other side, not good ideas.
I think that is why Trump won his elections, because he laid out a lot plans for shutting down the border, bringing manufacturing back, cutting waste and fraud, etc. The Democrats campaigned on what an evil guy Trump was.
Unfortunately, the Republicans seem to ignored Trump's example and are running on demonizing Talarico, Mamdani, El-Sayed, etc, instead of outlining their vision of the future.

However, I can’t see myself voting for the current iteration of what used to be the Republican Party(that party has been thoroughly corrupted).
Being that it is led by a lifelong Democrat, who was besties with King and Queen Clinton, was universally loved by all of the upper crust Democrats until he had a tussel wit BHO, and was begged to run many time by the Democratic machine....
What does that say about the Democratic party that you support?

I’ve never voted D but I would 100% vote Gavin over Vance

I will not be voting for Tommy Tuberville just because there is a R by his name. He is such a dumb arse and is so embarassing there is no way I would toe the party line here. Did the same thing when the alabama GOP trotted out ole Roy Moore too.

Ignore him
SDV is a famous mental invalid around these parts. Most of us are surprised he can even type. Must be messy with all that drool on his keyboard/phone.

Did the thread she started start before or after he came back?

Seems like you are totally screwed either way. It is either that or more unfettered illegal immigration.
It is a tough choice.

Prepare to be disappointed. Odds are Vance will be the next president. It probably won’t even be close.

Before.
SFP is staying mostly to the OT for now. I think he has posted here only sparingly.

Only Democrats I've ever voted for were Kip Holden for Lt Governor, and a sheriff in my hometown parish who is really good friends with my parents.
I've either voted third party or left it blank if I didn't like the GOP candidate on the ticket. Not voting for a GOP candidate just because s/he has (R) next to their name.

I will also only vote for a politician for 2 terms.
I get the sentiment, but 4 years in the House really is a case of most long that just getting your feet under you. The way seniority works, you are basically asking for your rep to be a placeholder in perpetuity.
Now, you can say that we need to get rid of the dead weight clogging up the senior positions and being there for 30+ years, but voting out your own 2-term rep every four years does absolutely nothing to solve that problem.
